One thing Islam, budhism were patronized by long lasting rashtrikutas .Muslims first came to India within the life time of the Prophet. The first mosque built in India was at Kerala about 632 AD. And it still stands there.
There were mosques in India in 600 -700 CE.The Barwada Mosque in Ghogha, Gujarat built before 623 CE, Cheraman Juma Mosque (629 CE) in Methala, Kerala and Palaiya Jumma Palli (or The Old Jumma Masjid, 628-630 CE) in Kilakarai, Tamil Nadu .
