My favorite story about the Eagles & Glynn Johns is from the Eagles doc. Henley wasn't happy with Johns because he wouldn't mic all the drums. So Don complained to him that the drums weren't loud enough so Glynn replied to him "Then hit them harder."
Remind's me of a Canadian tour. Nazareth drummer Darrell Sweet asked if he could sit in on a couple of songs with a band that opened for them. The band's drummer, impressed, asked the soundboard tech, what he did to get the huge sound out of the drums. He replied "nothing he just hit's the drums about 3 times as hard as you do".
I know the condition ..he wanted glynn johns permission ..and the rest is history ..Imagine being in the studio for the recordings of On the Border One Of These Nights HC and The Long Run ..Dam Bill you are one lucky man And listening to all the Great songs Over And Over being performed and recorded
i worked for my brother at Roadco Music and we worked closely with the Eagles. I've never met Bill but I believe he was the George Martin of the Eagles. He really steered the ship.
Hey Bill, I met you at Criteria. You were kind to drop by studio C. This was back in 1986. Mac Emmerman came by also,RIP Mac. Good to see you being interviewed. Pat Maguire☮️
Nature doesnt bother me... Earthquakes here in Washington are frequent but rarely felt...I have felt a couple of good ones.. I come from Wichita Kansas tho... and have seen storms that would make many people cry and pray... and I have seen numerous tornadoes... What does bother me a bit is deep water....
Is it just me … but for as big as the Eagles became … in my opinion the only two albums I think that was correctly produced was their original album and their last album.. The rest of the albums were just poorly produced. Vocals are lost in the music, no bass/drum sound is noticeable, and the vocals are not clear. Even the audiophile CD’s sound like crap. I own all their CD’s, box sets etc. and the only decent other sounding CD is their two CD Greatest Hits package in the white jacket. Am I the only one that feels this way? I might note that I have seen them in concert eight times dating back to the early seventies so I’m not some flakey fan. I really like the Eagles.

I consider such a privilege to see the Eagles right before Randy left in Chicago.❤❤❤
Really enjoying these Bill S. clips, as well as the other Eagles ones you've been doing since Randy Meisner's unfortunate passing. Much appreciated! 👍

My Man Bernie’s tribute to Gram Parsons is my favourite Eagles track bar none.
