      I didn't mind because the colors all matched and I bought the sets specifically for that cookbook.😊 I will use some of them in a similar book for my other daughter. The rest will get used in journals, so it's all good. Thanks for watching! 💕

    It sure was fun to listen to you and your daughter together. I'm planning a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook journal using my cookbook that I received when I married in 1981. I'm making it a 1950's style journal because I like that better than the early 80's. In order to match all the red in my cookbook I'm using vintage tablecloth digitals in red, yellow and a touch of blue, plus a lot of other digitals that fit the theme. I'm off to watch more of your cookbook videos. 😊

      It was so much fun to record a video with her. She loves her cookbook and it's nice to be able to tell her that she's got a certain recipe in her book when she asks me for it. Although, she just asked me for a couple of Thanksgiving recipes, time to add some pages, LOL! Your project sounds like it will be lovely when it's all finished. I agree, the 50's style cookbooks have more charm. Thanks for commenting, I'm happy to know you're here!

    Katie’s humor and ya’lls laughter was uplifting! I had a better homes cookbook and the tabs deteriorated so I suggest you laminate or strengthen them.

    • @CreatorsCall
      @CreatorsCall  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I had another cookbook binder journal where the tabs had done that too. I used cute cardstock to back and reinforce them. I had forgotten about that, so thank you for the reminder. We will be sure to keep them looking nice! 🥰💕

    I have a 1940s Betty Crocker that was "autographed". I recently repaired the spine. It's been well used. It was my mom's. 😊

    I love this! I was enjoying the eye candy so much I went on Amazon and used a small gift card balance I had to purchase the small Apron Strings paper pad. I think I want to have a try at making one of these heritage recipes books myself!

    Need a whole lot less talking and a lot more instruction on putting the book together. All the time spent picking out paper could have been done ahead of time and the video would have been better as an instructional video.

    • @CreatorsCall
      @CreatorsCall  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, it could have, but this was more about my daughter's choices as the cookbook was for her, and her thought process as she selected the papers. It depends on the type of video I'm making as I try lots of different formats to see what appeals. I enjoy hearing why the creator makes certain selections as I watch other channels because I learn what things to consider or be aware of. This is the first in a 6-part video series. The rest of them are more informative in the way you suggested. I hope you will watch them all to see how the recipe book finally turned out. TFW, Shannon! 💖
