Great comparison! I'm buying a new phone next week and I can't decide between these 2. I never used an iPhone, only Samsung, so I want to try something new, but I have Samsung watch and Samsung galaxy buds so S22+ seems like a no brainer, plus I just love 120hz and fingerprint reader, but I would love to try iOS. If anyone has any advice, please I need one :)
As an iPhone user I gotta admit that the S22’s aesthetics puts every iPhone to shame, especially the thinner bezels, no notch, and less protruding camera bump. However, the battery life is by far the most important thing for me, which apparently isn’t good on the S22. And it’s a shame since it’s such a great phone otherwise.
The battery life really isn't that bad, I get over 7hrs sot easily. I work from home so battery life isn't really a factor for me. I make calls, check my emails, TH-cam Netflix the usual stuff. If you stay on your phone half the day you would probably want a phone with a bigger battery
I have an S22 Snapdragon 8 gen 1. I strongly recommend anyone considering this device to steer clear and stay far away, I'm a Samsung Knight, traded in my S20 for this trash phone and it was the worst thing I ever did and regret it every day. The main downfall of this device is the chipset, SD8G1 is extremely power inefficient and heats up DRAMATICALLY making the UI practically unusable and a laggy mess! This heat happens during NORMAL use! And I've already had my device replaced by my carrier. The 2nd thing that destroys the S22's performance is the use of 5G UW bands. These bands are constantly searching for connection that heats up the phone as well, yes you can switch to 4G only but that slows down your connection. This phone is a massive fail and I've been let down by Samsung for choosing such an awful chipset in this series. A friend of mine who had switched from the 13PM is now switching back to the iPhone from the S22U SD variant because of this heat and laggy mess. Samsung already tried fixing this entire issue with GOS but then had to scrap that due to social and media pressue about slowing down the phones although it was for thermal purposes. Samsung needs to fix this issue or I can see a class action coming.
yes absolutely correct I have s20 plus and switch to s22 ultra then return as the battery dont justify the size i try s22 seems nice but the battery so terrible draning so bad with light use i dont even play games, and my s22 is warmer than my newly order cup cofee lol i decided returning it my first time having ios and am loving it waayyy more better reliable than samsung s22 models i sold al my samsung products watch and buds 😒
ABSOLUTELY AGREE. Even for light use the dang phone heats up so much it makes me not want to use it at all. It lags and is glitchy from time to time, Highly ANNOYING. Battery always draining too. I agree that for content creator minded individuals, the Apple ecosystem makes that productivity system very streamlined and simple. I’m planning to jump to Android and keep my iPhone & MacBook combo for TH-cam. Android just seems more fun to use and can still allow for productivity for my real work.
The 8+ gen 1 chip when it comes in 2023 should solve all the battery issues and lag issues. Would make it so much easier to choose a Samsung . That chip is cool and power efficient

@@CallMeKJOS I know . Probably not even in 2 or 3 years. My wife’s 12 is so much lighter than my 13 pro. I really think the square edges and weight make it a bad experience but with that said, the competition can be worse with battery issues . There isn’t many good compact phones either
Speaking of having extra apple products has an advantage for the iPhone, and forgetting that Samsung has even more extra products plus the versatility of android has a whole, doesn’t seem fair

Like the Samsung watch 4, the galaxy buds and the Samsung tablets and they also have some exclusive Samsung features like quick shear and other features. So Samsung has a quiet interactive ecosystem .
No doubt they are. But idk if I recommend an ecosystem that's still on the come up. Ive tried a few features and it's not so close. But let's see what happens tbh.

I gave it a like but should not have you obviously are bias towards apple fan boy . You talked about one hour 50 percent charge for apple. In one hour s22 is full charged on a fast charger 25 watt.
if you put the s22 on 60 hz it will probablyget closer battery to the iphone 13 which has a 60 hz screen i dont think its fair to compare the batterylife of s22 on 120 hz and the iphone is on 60 hz
@@CallMeKJOS how is it fair if you are comparing batteries of a phone on 60 hz to a phone on 120hz. look up the 60 hz vs 120 hz battery comparison video you will see 60 hz gets significantly more battery. if you put the s22 on 60hz it will be closer to iphone on battery life

I've had Samsung forever and the 22 is the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. 3 months into it and nothing but troubles. The cool part is they don't give a crap. Taking a big loss going to an iPhone 13 but I need a phone that works. Now I'm a 63yo guy who has to learn a new platform.
How is a review super biased when out of five categories, the S22 won 2 of them. For the camera, I don't think so bro. The iPhone 13 was definitely sharper and have more attention to detail

The battery life isn't a big deal to me personally, even as a heavy phone user.

60 hz for iOS isn’t the same as android device with 60hz. Just take iphone 13 and s22, for me no big difference.
You can watch screen recording of iOS animations on an Android, but it will never be as smooth as 120 Hz screen.

It won't work, also it might burn your battery.
You have to use a dedicated charger.

The fingerprint scanner is less secure than Face ID. It has a chance of 1:50,000 instead 1:1,000,000 for Face ID
That simply is not true. Fingerprints are harder to capture than a face. I can give you links if you want.
