🤣 You'll have to stick around to find out my other two cats names. You may want to get the full frag collection! There's definitely a trend among the names. 😂
I’m French and I plan to get back into my passion for reefing with a new tank. I am very impressed by your vidéo and the beauty of your corals. What type of stones do you use in your 150 gallon?
Thanks!! The rocks are from Carribsea Reef Rocks. It’s pretty much the only rock we can easily get in Canada. They used to be white haha, now there’s lots of life on them. No one ever really leaves this hobby right 🙂
Thank you for your answer, it’s very cool! I saw a lot of great scaping with the caribsea but in France they seems hard to find so i will probaby take the Marco rocks. You’re right! But i will need a teatcher to do the things well so i will need your help with your vidéos 😋
Honestly I’ve changed my main parameters over the last year and have not noticed a difference. The most important aspect has been consistency which I achieve through a dozer. I even noticed when I do large water changes my corals are unhappy due to swings in the parameters. My largest issue is phosphates, they keep getting too low!
Nice video. I recently set up a Zoo med low boy as well. They are decent tanks for the money. Mine is a separate system from my display so it’s slowly maturing. Setting up a successful frag tank is harder than it looks.
For sure, I don’t know how people are able to keep up with 3+ tanks. And any tank takes a year to mature so I didn’t want to have to wait that long. Good luck with yours!
I have been thinking of getting a low boy frag tank for a while. However, i don’t have a space for the low boy, either get rid of my 20 gallon frag tank. The other reason to get the low boy is because I have 12” round montipora that is getting too big and the low boy frag tank is perfect for a montipora colony. Anyways. Are you going to quarantine new corals from stores in your new frag tank? If so, are you worry of new pest may transfer to your display tank since is plumb to your display tank. Great work on your new set up 😊
I'd frag that montipora colony haha. Honestly I don't currently quarantine most corals, I do clean them pretty well and so far am only dealing with Aptesia and Briddleworms, nothing to serious. I actually have another tank for "QT" fish observation that I put corals into that I don't trust. Yes technically this is my 3rd tank :)
I’m new to reef tanks. So new I don’t yet have one! Lol. But I’ve been doing my homework and was thinking of first starting a frag tank with the low boy tank, start a small collection of various frags. Learn as I go and see what I like. Do you guys think this is a good or bad idea?
Heyy, I’d recommend a display tank set up over a frag tank set up for your first tank. A display tank has a type of beauty that a frag tank just can’t have. With that being said, the zoo med can we used as a shallow reef display tank, I’ve seen some really nice ones, as you still get the display tank look but also easy to see over the top. And we all love topdown shots! Good luck, there’s a lot of ups and downs but it’s always worth it.
What a wonderful job you are doing, looks like pretty much work but i can understand that it deserves at the end. Thanks for sharing this perhaps one day i also do my little experiment with this
I would like to buy two Hennessy Frags Please!

Marko Rocks are a great option too. You can’t go wrong.
We on the other hand have a hard time getting Marko Rocks in Canada.
Just come across your channel. Subbed
Awesome, thank you for subscribing! I hope you enjoy the content.
Looks great! What do you keep your main water at? I can't seem to get any of my Coral to grow.

You have a lot of really nice goniopora. Those nails are really intense under the actinic lights.👍🏾
Thank you so much 🤗

Those nails look wild under that blue light 😂👌
Haha they sure do ☺️
Where do you source your frag tiles? Very nice. 👍🏽
I get mine from a Canadian site called Aquarium Depot.

is the main display tank by innovative marine?
Yes it is! It’s the 150 ext. My first video gives some details about the tank.
I just found out that ZOOMED have a brand new frag tank coming out 36x18x10 I believe the size will be 28 g 🌲🧑🎄
Nice! I wish they had 75+ hahaha
