Hey, I happen to work at Adox on the production side and I can confirm that your guess is correct. It's a film we have in 35mm unperforated pancakes and I'm the one who perforates it. The reason it's cinema sprockets is simply that it was the tool we had on the perforation machine at the time. We've since swapped it for a standard one to do maintenance on the cinema sprocket tool, and so the next batch we do will likely have normal sprockets. I can also say it's not a cinema emulsion, so the halation is just cuz that's how it was made. Definitely enjoyed seeing the trichrome results though not sure I'll be doing that myself with this film.

OK, please tell us you guys are talking to Fuji about snagging one of their decommissioned 120 machines?!? Or you're partnering with CineStill to spool 120/220? Or you've magically repaired your 120 machine? Whatever it takes so I can once again feed my GW680 CMS 20:)

Seeing the normal roll, I went: "that looks like bleach bypass". And then you went ahead and bleach bypassed it. I'm not a huge fan of any of the looks other than just normal. Maybe if you only pushed like +1. It's great that we now might get more options for film especially when it's just Kodak making most of it. Thank you for another amazing vid, you always make it super entertaining!

It's going to be a long road ahead for ADOX, but I'm very hopeful. They also seem to have a realistic outlook saying this process can take upwards to 4+ years. I'm hoping this is one of many new color emulsions that come out of this.

As someone who's quite colourblind, most colour films all look quite the same to me and are just "meh" and I have little interest in shooting them. The bleach bypass you did really just looks incredibly sharp and crisp like the colours are actually able to be differentiated from one another even though the sky does get blown out. I love that high contrast. I may actually want to give this colour film a shot!

Loved this video! I also got some Color Mission and the saturation and contrast is insane! Unlike anything I've seen from color film & I usually shoot Gold 200 so i'm no stranger to saturation. I accidentally left mine in the developer a little long and panicked a bit because the film base came out super pink, haha. I even reblixed it because the base was so dense (didn't help). The scans turned out fine tho, albeit a bit grainy. Also, the red on this film pops like crazy from my experience, interesting you noticed it more with the greens!

Looking forward to getting my hands on this stuff. Also, how on earth do you begin to understand the charts and such on data sheets, they’re all so confusing. The things you do with film amaze me and I’d love to try some things out for myself, but the amount of technical information blows me away sometimes. Did you learn all this stuff by teaching yourself? Or did someone teach you?

No one ever taught me how to read a datasheet and I never sat down and tried to understand it in its entirety.
