- Freezing rain caused several traffic incidents along Interstate 94 at Rothsay, MN. Multiple semis needed to be towed out of the ditch during the morning commute hours with a winter weather advisory in effect for freezing rain at the time. Video includes drone footage of semi recoveries, MNDOT treating the icy roads, and general footage of the area impacted.

Time to take highway 10! I avoid 94 between Fergus and Fargo in the winter! Its so dangerous!!!! But Spring - Fall its a dream route! Winter its hell on earth!

I Came That Way Traveling On 94 WB Around 1.45 This Afternoon And I Didn't See Any Of That , Glad I Made It To West Fargo Safely
My dispatcher was calling me that afternoon trying to get me to go. I said hell no. My company is at the beginning of this video.

The Freighter at 0:30 could be an O/O. What makes you think it's not? Also, Schneider has a lease purchase program from what I know. What makes you think the Schneider truck is not an O/O?

And on another note, DOT if you put no travel advised sign up close the FFING road. DUH? Then we won't be out there!

Why is it that in the years, we've come such a long way with technology, and we still can't figure out a way to make our highways safer from ice and snow 🤔
We can fly to the moon 🌙 we can watch TV on a handheld device, but we can't keep our highways from freezing 😢
Did you not see the plow truck spreading de-icer? There's plenty of technology available. For example, heating coils could be embedded in the roadway to prevent ice from forming. It would be extremely expensive. That's why it's not being done. Citizens don't want, or can't afford, to pay ten times the amount of taxes there paying now in order to do it.
@scudfarcus4343 I've always wondered what's the purpose of the pretreatment they use 🤔 it doesn't seem to work... highway gets covered just as quickly as if there wasn't any pretreatment 😏 the only thing that works great is rocksalt

In my experience, the liquid de-icer does work, in that it it seems to prevent ice formation.
When the government gets involved in you business , everything turns to crap .
