She's ruthless with her honesty in a good way and I like it.

Exactly! No therapy needed, just time to learn to cope.

I don't care what she says, a good therapist is worth their weight in gold. If your therapist is not helping, stop but with what we are seeing in society, we need more therapy

People who never learned to cope or need support to do so may need therapy.

It definitely depends on what you are dealing with.
Eleven years is a little long though I feel.

Therapy. Does not mean that something is wrong with people. It’s our subconscious thoughts that lead to feelings often. Changing those is important and takes time. I think everyone on earth could use 12 trauma clearing sessions. I love you Evie. I don’t ascribe to a pill for everything. That’s not what therapy is. No one who is not a therapist should be bashing therapy. Tho. More people need to go honestly. If everyone on earth went to 12 sessions with a phenomenal therapist so much would heal and change. If at risk people got to go before the age of 10. (We could the more serious behavioral problems in this world). Therapy does not make people bad and wrong for having feelings love. Processes them releases them out of the mind and body. Along with those unconstructive thoughts that came in with the trauma. In a safe relationship that unconditionally loves and supports you. Who doesn’t want that. People who had mothers and fathers were amazing maybe less so in need of this. Until mothers of young children are supported all over the world yes there is a deep need for therapy love. Deep need. ❤. People do need to be author of their own lives. Therapy helps with that. People do need to take action. To fix the issues they see in front of them. Therapy helps with all of that. Maybe not all talk therapy is helpful. Like all professions some may be more skilled than another. Deep embodied work and release is so so imperative for our world today. To make a world that’s amazing for your babies to live in love

What's the point of your message? She didn't say therapy is bad. She said that keeping going to therapy for years when there's no change or good result tells you something is off and maybe therapy is not always the answer. For some people it is and for some it isn't. I think her point of view here is brilliant. I absolutely love her way of thinking.

Dangerous message because those who really need therapy aren't in therapy. People will take reinforcement from anywhere to support their b.s. Mass shootings are from people who aren't taught to cope, fine. I listened to the entire thing and she gave no guidelines as to what to actually do.

I totally agree on a therapy. Do what you can yourself. If it's not real mental illness which you can't control of cause. I healed myself with tapping ( eft) . It's so amazing. Now I can regulate my emotions. It's such a relief, guys. I feel more independent and strong.

If you are not getting results in 4-6 sessions with your therapist change therapists. Therapy should be about healing the past and present so you can go forward

The reason therapies don't help people is because no any therapist truly cares about a person. They do it for pay check, just to get paid ,but they don't like listening to people's traumas, problems etc. It is stressful for every therapist. Several of them told me this. I have 2 friends therapists, and they don't like doing it. It is just a JOB for them.

May I respectfully disagree. I retrained specifically to help others navigate through something I experienced that pushed me into the darkest of places. And I do it all for free right now. Only the brave go through the fire and come back with water for others going through it ❤

Therapy can also be viewed as a Yoga practice, I’ve had a lot of trauma and it was so helpful. Now I go for a check in (at my own will) every couple of months

Very right on. I think sometimes therapy can reinforce/validate that something is inherently wrong with u as a human being.

Totally agree, therapists keep you going to them for life. Hmmm could it be because they make over a hundred dollars per hr? Inner strength, self acceptance, boundaries are much more of value. Ive been saying this for yrs, and ppl act like Im crazy over it. No one else can know every aspect of your life the way you can. Take your power back.

Okay, fair points, but what about suppression? If I don't talk about what has hurt, angered me, and I push it down, push it down, telling myself why talk about it? It's happened. I can't do anything about it, but it's affecting how I show up in the world. How I deal with certain things in relationships...

I hear you...as much as I can through reading your comment but I don't think that's what she is saying. Do you journal? Writing things down help. Or you can do a video diary to get it out. You probably have all the tools needed. Good luck

I agree with not becoming reliant on anyone.Therapists are supposed to encourage native thought, not speak for people. Therapy is good but I agree... Not a crutch. It's good to seek help when you need it... Get it and then fly. If you need help later seek it then.
