Joe, If he couldn't get it running after a rebuild, I would take it all apart and do it again right. He screwed something up. If he didn't know how to clean the carb, you can bet the rebuild is bad. In the end, it quit.

He did the same stupid shit when his channel just started. It took him a year to not rev cold engines to the moon etc. I think he is somewhat deaf ( He doesn't hear a slipping clutch/engine that mis-fires/engine rattling in frame/valve knocking/jetting slightly of etc). and maybe compulsive disorder (OCD). Watch him closely he never takes a step back and think for 2 seconds.
I have to believe this as well. He just suddenly forgot how to hear a tick, after investigating the same noise countless times before? He creates content. I'm not mad.
I've always been of the opinion, Joe, that if I'm going through and doing a bottom and top end complete rebuild, I'm changing the water pump seals, probably putting a new impeller in there anyway, but man to have done ALL that work and skipped a couple seals? Nah.. no way that's definitely a 'while you're in there' to do.
When will he stop believing the seller. How many bikes and quads has he been told are fresh rebuilds and turned out to be hammered shit. He's to trusting. To much metal in the oil to be a fresh rebuild. It had a glitter cloud in it and some pieces. It wasn't knocking tho. I was thinking crank /connecting rod bearing again.
@@waffalobill I was shocked when the spark plug was really tight, and then he couldnt get the compression tester to go in. At that point I would have stopped and taken the engine apart.
@@chriswedgwood9673I'm always leery about the ones that say just rebuilt it, can't get it to start. I would go over everything they did. I would never jump on a bike and not check the axle nuts, triple tree etc. stuff that will kill you if they left it loose. The guy probably half assed the rebuild or didn't even do one. Bet the bottom end hasn't been done either.
Personally, whenever a customer would tell me they did "this" or "that" to their bike and proceed to tell me they're a dentist by trade, I double-check everything they said they did. Plus, it's easy to spot the phonies just by asking them a few mechanical questions and listening to their answers. When they start making no sense, it's full tear-down time.
@@stkyfngrszmoothshould have took a couple driveway test laps before loading it up. The glitter cloud in the oil said there was issues. You could see metal flakes. He seen them. I would have checked them with a magnet. Anyone who drops the serious coin in a bike to rebuild the top and bottom end but not do the water pump seals? Coolant ran right thru it. He gave him the seal so he knew it was pooched. He actually tryed to start and run a fresh rebuild with no coolant? Think Joe got took again. Can usually see new gaskets. I can't see them. He didn't check the cases before buying it? He's got shafted like that before. But maybe he did look. That looks was for us. Not sure. It's hard to tell on the video. The sound isn't the same as standing there. It always sounds noisy. Can't tell by sound on our end. Real curious. But I think he got took again.
Even at the shop when you said "sounds good now" i was like no it doesnt. Thing sounded like it was going to blow up at the shop already. Then you could definitely hear it while out in the field. That cylinder is probably done. Bent rod, carnage, etc
I was biting my tongue before you ever took it to the land and when you did, the way it is was running. No way, I would have packed it back up to tear the engine down. it's fixing to get a rebuild now and I'll enjoy watching you do it, hehe
When I watch Joe struggle to get the plug loose, it always reminds of a day at the motocross races when the guy next to me was using a cheater pipe on his ratchet to tighten his plug. He came so close to pulling all the threads out that when he cranked it and was driving to the gate, it blew the plug out. I never would have thought you could over do it that much. I laughed so hard.
@nikhayes3396 thats what i was talking about didn't see him check timing but i was doing other stuff while listening. Just ment it sounded like a timing chain hoping teeth
@@jamesclark4 gotcha. when it locked up? I don’t think he checked the tensioner assembly but he did check the timing chain tension obviously, as its right there when you have the head cover off. lets be honest though, someone tells you they rebuilt a bike and since it wont run, and you open up the carb and notice right away its not squirting fuel, clean it, and it starts, makes some odd sounds and locks up the engine 10 ft into your first ride, it could be anything.
Yeah the sound from 49:00 - 49:50 was not good. Probably very hard to hear outside with the loud exhaust. However through the audio picked up from the camera you could hear a mechanical clanking. Interesting to see what failed.
Some people clean their parts before disassembling or during repair en before assembly.😅 Would love to see you do this too, you know, and take your work up a notch. I love your videos and you are great at fault-finding but with the execution of the repairs, with all the dirt and grime still on the parts you get the chance of sand or dirt falling in the bottom end or when installing a dirty cylinder head get dirt in the cylinder. Please don't be offended this is not my intention.❤
You guys need to relax… this isn’t a “perfect restoration” video its a “let me fix this enough to sell it so i can make my money back” video. The bike is damn near 20 years old, its not a brand new lambo.
@@JoeyJumper42069 WTF are you talking about??? 10 min with a pressure washer before you begin working on it and a couple of minutes cleaning the parts in your hands with a degreaser before putting it all back together. That is not your so-called “perfect restoration” video. That is "do a clean job", You have the parts in your hands, so you may as well clean them, if not for specific to want clean parts do it for handling,it is a lot more pleasant to handle parts without oil and dirt stick on your fingers and hands. So no one is talking about restoration or PERFECTION it is just repairing. Cleaning parts is not a restoration.
You're paying your dues Joe. Someday you'll not be so trusting of the knuckle heads you buy these bikes from. I understand though, at the rate that you move bikes through, it's a gamble. At least you instantly have content for a future video!! If the previous owner couldn't figure out the carb, chances are the engine that he supposedly fully rebuilt is suspect. By the time you're in you're in your 50's, you'll know better than to trust anyone but yourself. Thanks for all the content you put out. It's very entertaining and often has me reeling with emotion!! 😂
the money he makes form your tube is great,he pays nothing in the end for these bikes,so dont feel to bad for him.do you see his house he bought for you tube vids?
Not sure if you know this Joe but on the older Hondas, engine oil and transmission fluid are separated in the engine unlike all the other bikes that share 1 oil through the whole motor.
I gotta hand it to you, Joe. You never seem to get angry. I'd be pissed if I put in that much work only to have a bike grenade in the first fifty feet. At least now, when you sell it, you can claim that virtually everything is brand new engine-wise.
And that is the story on every 4 stroke around my area. Best to stay clear of them unless you have an endless supply of money. They where junk new and still junk now.
Yes there were thing you coukd have done different when you were working on it. Like you said problem when buying a bike soneone says ...( Bike has been rebuilt top and bottom end...blah bkah blah....We what is ir was the skill level of the person doing the rebuild ? There is so much more to building a solid motor. Then someone watching youtube for and hour. Then going and rebuild their dirt bike. Either way sure you will get it tore down and rebuilt. Every Honda unicam I’ve ever owned has started like that. Not sure if you did it off camera, but don’t forget to re time the accelerator pump shot. You want it to just barely clear the slide when you blip it

@@2vintageyou never checked the cam chain tightness on the video,, you need to put you finger down the hole and push against the chain to feel the tightness
I currently have this bike and it was cool to see it being worked on. tension on the chain was low, those tensioners on the side of the cylinder head can be a pain to deal with cause they are auto tensioning. I bet the last guys put it on wrong. The weird thing is the valve train is really loud on these bikes and it sounds like they're rattling apart at full throttle. Also, id recommend putting actual trans oil in it 80/85W, it works a bit better. Should be fun to watch a rebuild on the bike though!
I left the fuel petcock open over the winter and when I went to start my '04 CRF450R it wouldn't. It would start for a few seconds if I pulled the hot start (adds air) so I knew it was the carb. Cleaned and rebuilt the carb and no joy. Took it to the dealer and that was a shit-show. It was there for over eight months. I finally bought a new carb and that fixed it.
Classic “I lost the receipts” build. Sounded like the cam chain went on a trip, whether the tensioner was ill adjusted or the cam sprocket wasn’t tightened correctly. Even if they did have it running, without a load you may not notice it. The good thing is if you roached the head there’s tons of good used parts available for them, they make good budget “thrash” bikes for woods racing when it’s muddy or need some practice.
The bike sounded like a ticking time bomb with the valve knock... You checked what I thought might make those terrible sounds, but those sounds are never good and need investigated ASAP especially after a rebuild. This wasn't your fault and it is killing me wondering what gave way inside the motor Joe! Maybe some Chinesium parts were used by the previous owner in the rebuild? I love your videos and keep up the good work! You have came a long way over the years buddy!
Why aren't you using a small chair or the central stand of the bike to stand on it with your left leg when kicking the bike over? You will be sitting on a higher point and you will have a lot more leverage kicking it over, a lot more pedal travel with a higher impulse and you don't put so much tension on your right leg. What if it kicks back and your thigh is bent over to the back? if you are over the bike standing upright, you might have a chance saving that knee. Btw cool content you have and super patience. Awesome. keep up the great work. enjoying watching you.

At 10:14 "Ya air filter is missing" ... Well yeah, you never want an air filter on a freshly rebuilt dirt bike, lawn mower, paving equipment, etc. I learned this from a union laborer when I was 14 lol
Yeah, always good to leave the filter off of any freshly rebuilt engine. Ive done little work on atvs, but have a bit of experience with car engines. The 638 CI BBC has maybe two passes on it, i wouldnt dare start it unless the air is full of dust and there are no filters on the carbs.
@@Hammerback0 Ideal timing would be when the neighbor is blowing his yard with his 200mph wind machine. All kidding aside it is sad that this poor engine started and ran well enough to dial in the carb and load it up for a ride. Three twists on throttle and a nice even kick. Doesn't even need to be a hard kick. If it doesn't fire right up, 3 more twists and try again. I have had that happen before. It sucks. Some silly thing gets overlooked and boom, she broke. Can't wait to see what it was.

I could hear Chain noise setting there Idling ..And when you took off it got real loud. The Chain noise.. Wonder if the chain was rubbing on something or Tensioner wasnt working right .
I used to unload bikes like that until my boot got caught on way down and I fell and bike landed on me. I was off for a day or so then I bought a SxS. I also bought an aluminum trailer, ever since I have never put anything in the back of my truck. My aluminum trailer has a gate and it’s easy as heck to load lawn mowers, bikes, quads, SxS, everything. I should have got a trailer years ago. Even if I go to the dump or compost lot, it goes on the trailer.
Trying to get content out, bike was running horrible!! Inconsistent idle, definitely running lean, guarantee if the idle was even close to set right it was stall continuously. The timing chain tensioner was probably shot the way the engine rattled, causing timing to be of x amount of degrees, causing lean condition
I am new to watching your videos but I really enjoy them and I watch this one on the 250 and I couldn’t help but notice when you first got this thing charting that no smoke came out of the rear tailpipe it all the other ones they’re two stroke engines so so I mean you know you have to have the gas oil mix and they all puffs and smoke out all two strokes do it. It’s normal for a two stroke and that one puffed out no smoke. It ran clean like it was a four stroke I think that’s your problem that it didn’t have oil in there and that’s why the thingburned up or seized up within the first couple of minutes of driving it
Hey bro awesome video, i am an owner of this bike, and there is a trick to make it start, give it 4-5 gentle kiks to gain compresion, and then kik it hard with the throttle open at like 5% if it doesnt start, repeat process
Looks like you need a bore-scope. That way, you can check spark plug threads, piston, and valves. Saved me lots of time when twisted wrenches for Ford. Hopefully, you can get her going easily after that quick spin.
Did you just blast the debris in the clogged line back into the carb? The violence taking the spark plug out is hard to watch too but I can see your skills are coming up, admire your honesty when it goes wrong at the end.

If you take 1000 people that state "I just rebuilt it" 999 of them had no idea what they were doing... Signed, a 30 year bike tech. I was worried when you started it but was hoping it was the radiator or exhaust shield loose or something like that rattling. You just can't trust the general public when they say the overhauled anything...
Will be good to see what it was. It happened to me when I refreshed my 93 CR125 (in 93). I used a Wiseco piston and did not mic it. It was oversized, so when the engine heated up under load it locked up. Frustrating, but that should always be checked, just like the ring gap. Absolutely not saying it was your fault, but it does happen that new parts get shipped out of spec. Same exact noise/ reaction by the way.
When you check the cam chain it was fine but the tensioners are known to be fine when you check them by hand but under force they decompress when they fail causing loose chain causing catastrophic events. A manual cam chain tensioner will cure this the oem ones are known to fail shoot i think it happened in 02 on crf450r during championship

I'm right there with you brother!
My favorite is the people who don’t understand torque specs
Well that sounded like a timing chain the second it fired up in my opinion and surprised you couldn’t hear it bro but sorry that it locked up hope it’s an easy fix, look forward to the next video keep up the good content 👍🏼
Sorry about your luck but at least we'll have a good teardown to watch!
Bike was ticking like crazy from the very first start i cant believe you ran it bro hate to see that i know the feeling of eating a valve 😢
I thought that , didn’t sound good at all
@benmitcham62 yeah i wish my yamaha would gave me a sign like tick or hard to start it just ran like bat out hell until it went boom and one valve ruined my whole motor
That's why when people tell me I just did a total rebuild, I questioned there skills , cus if I don't build it or it's done by a reputable shop I don't trust anyone
Joe, If he couldn't get it running after a rebuild, I would take it all apart and do it again right. He screwed something up. If he didn't know how to clean the carb, you can bet the rebuild is bad. In the end, it quit.
yea the rebuild lol
sounded like a diesel KLR
seller said it wouldnt start so what does he do . Takes it out of the truck and kicks it over 100 times. If it was that easy dont you think the seller couldve did that lol
I am surprised you don't have a lift table... I used to ride bikes 40 years ago, I still love to watch your videos even though I will never ride again... except my electric bike....
When you first started it up, you could hear timing chain slapping around. This would also be the reason for hard starting and needing to pump fuel.
Don't think for a second that Joe didn't purposely ride it after hearing it. He's a content creator who's repaired hundreds of engines. He knows what he's doing.
Exactly .... 50k+ views so far ... then it locks up which is another 50k view video ... plus all the hater comments ... its called a business model ...
Nah, you give him to much credit.
Joe doesn’t seem like he really stages anything. I think what happens is what he shows.
I have to believe this as well. He just suddenly forgot how to hear a tick, after investigating the same noise countless times before? He creates content. I'm not mad.
Makes my day when I see you post much love been watching for few years now
I've always been of the opinion, Joe, that if I'm going through and doing a bottom and top end complete rebuild, I'm changing the water pump seals, probably putting a new impeller in there anyway, but man to have done ALL that work and skipped a couple seals? Nah.. no way that's definitely a 'while you're in there' to do.
Note to Future self:... when seller claims to have rebuilt the top end, Buyers protocol: double check timing chain tension!
First thing I thought when you explained it had been rebuilt but wouldn't run was I would want to check ring gaps, piston and bore size etc.
Amazes me how many videos of Joe's I watch, and the non-starting issues turn out to be because of the carburetor.
Looks like a lot more than a carb now😬
When it was running on the land, it sounded like a bag of nuts and bolts. I was surprised you decided to take it out.
You could hear the chain while it was running. Probably loose and skipped when you rode it.
yep thats exactly what i was thinking
your patience is second none with these bikes and people you acquire these machines from, you're a rare breed this day and age I salute you !!!
Even at the shop when you said "sounds good now" i was like no it doesnt. Thing sounded like it was going to blow up at the shop already. Then you could definitely hear it while out in the field. That cylinder is probably done. Bent rod, carnage, etc
I'd rather buy a basket case than a just rebuilt but won't start bike. Most these guys can't fix a weed wacker.
I was biting my tongue before you ever took it to the land and when you did, the way it is was running. No way, I would have packed it back up to tear the engine down. it's fixing to get a rebuild now and I'll enjoy watching you do it, hehe
It always amazes me how they dont just replace everything on the carb
When I watch Joe struggle to get the plug loose, it always reminds of a day at the motocross races when the guy next to me was using a cheater pipe on his ratchet to tighten his plug. He came so close to pulling all the threads out that when he cranked it and was driving to the gate, it blew the plug out. I never would have thought you could over do it that much. I laughed so hard.
I guess if the same guy that couldn’t fix a basic carb issue rebuilt it…. I guess… i can’t wait to see what you find.
Probably timing was off or timing chain was lose because it sounded like the timing chain issue
@@jamesclark4 Well: the only problem with that is he checked the timing and the timing chain tension etc. etc.
@@jamesclark4 you maybe hadn’t watched the whole video when responding. the engine locks up at the end too.
Should have checked the oil filter for bottom end metal. The ticking sound was your warning. Anyway, like your content. Keep em coming.
Didn't you hear it rattling like hell when it was idling on the stand?
hes tone deaf
He heard it, "hmm...sounds like a bunch more videos for the algorithm" 😂
"Well she fired right up" - after 58 kicks and WAY too many throttle blips 😂
Those throttle blips make me laugh. Does absolutely nothing.
@@Catfish2255 accelerator pump sprays fuel in the carb as he showed while rebuilding it
@@Catfish2255 It does shoot a stream of fuel into the intake if the accelerator pump is working, I wouldn't do it as many times as he did though
@@VitruviunMan 2 or 3 twists is all it's needs not 30+ your literally just flooding it making it harder to start at that point.
He is breaking in them fancy kicking boots 😂
Dude you can hear the timing chain slapping around everywhere when it was idling and when you took off. You should know better my goodness 😃
lmfao im glad other people notice this shit
Truth😂
The smiling face at the end? Are you stupid or something?
You mean rattling on the guides? If the cam was “all over the place” the bike wouldn’t idle or take off… you’re stupid
It’s ok though. He was the only one that could fix this bike. Remember, nobody could fix it.
😊 you could here that timing chain saw doing it's work, long before it locked FFS!
You could tell from the sound that something was wrong when you started it.
Yeah the sound from 49:00 - 49:50 was not good. Probably very hard to hear outside with the loud exhaust. However through the audio picked up from the camera you could hear a mechanical clanking. Interesting to see what failed.
It sounds like worn piston rings or some other part of the engine vibrates and makes similar sound as worn rings.
Wrap teflon
tape around your compression tester, it may help some what tighten in the threads.
Some people clean their parts before disassembling or during repair en before assembly.😅
Would love to see you do this too, you know, and take your work up a notch.
That is "do a clean job",
You have the parts in your hands, so you may as well clean them,
if not for specific to want clean parts do it for handling,it is a lot more pleasant to handle parts without oil and dirt stick on your fingers and hands.
So no one is talking about restoration or PERFECTION it is just repairing.
Cleaning parts is not a restoration.
@@jacksat2252quit your bitching go clean your parts then
@@jacksat2252 i agree, also more enjoyable to watch
You're paying your dues Joe. Someday you'll not be so trusting of the knuckle heads you buy these bikes from. I understand though, at the rate that you move bikes through, it's a gamble. At least you instantly have content for a future video!! If the previous owner couldn't figure out the carb, chances are the engine that he supposedly fully rebuilt is suspect. By the time you're in you're in your 50's, you'll know better than to trust anyone but yourself.
Thanks for all the content you put out. It's very entertaining and often has me reeling with emotion!! 😂
He is truly an eternal optimist thus far in his life. Time will test him.
the money he makes form your tube is great,he pays nothing in the end for these bikes,so dont feel to bad for him.do you see his house he bought for you tube vids?
Just one time, for science…….touch the spark plug tester 🤣
That cam chain was making noise from the start. Couldn’t miss it. Let’s hope it’s repairable without too much damage.
Why would you run it with it sounding like it was going to grenade any second 😂
Ya heard that mad tick while he was still in the garage🤦♂️ cringed when he went to ride it😅 we all make mistakes I guess.🤷♂️ love the content!
If I'm the "Hired Shoe" - WHY NOT? It's not MY motor.
And that is the story on every 4 stroke around my area. Best to stay clear of them unless you have an endless supply of money. They where junk new and still junk now.
I changed my viewing expectation to comedy, works much better for me. 👍
It’s all comedy on this channel, joes a fool. It’s rebuilt cause the previous owners said it is ,lol
What’s the boot for , you are such a baby boy
Your brain is loose
You can absolutely block it off not necessary
Water pump seal is shot
Yes there were thing you coukd have done different when you were working on it. Like you said problem when buying a bike soneone says ...( Bike has been rebuilt top and bottom end...blah bkah blah....We what is ir was the skill level of the person doing the rebuild ? There is so much more to building a solid motor. Then someone watching youtube for and hour. Then going and rebuild their dirt bike. Either way sure you will get it tore down and rebuilt. Following specs from a repair manual and you will be just fine. Have a good one friend.
how many times you buy a bike and was told it has a new rebuild LOL
Every Honda unicam I’ve ever owned has started like that. Not sure if you did it off camera, but don’t forget to re time the accelerator pump shot. You want it to just barely clear the slide when you blip it
$1500 was way to much for a clapped out 03 Honda CRF250R, that bike wasn't worth any more than $500
Oh 2vintage working on a bike similar to mine (2009 carb crf250r), can't wait for the rebuild video. Keep up the good work Joe you are the oasis in the desert of youtube diy mechanics. Cheers from Greece europe!
Man that thing sounded awful from the start, anymore the auto tensioner was bad. Very common
Cam chain felt tight though. Maybe it failed on start up.
what the fuck does "anymore the auto tensioner was bad" mean? Can you fucking speak English?
Should've cut it off and not rode it Joe. It sounded awful!!! 😭
@@2vintageyes this happened to me never trust the auto tensioner. Replace with manual one I bought from eBay. It will be tight run good then outta nowhere loose tension and get loose. After removing tensioner and putting my body weight on it I noticed it would decompress. Very common
Because one person was too stupid to get it running doesn't mean nobody could fix it
HAHA somehow he finds the one no one can fix
I left the fuel petcock open over the winter and when I went to start my '04 CRF450R it wouldn't. It would start for a few seconds if I pulled the hot start (adds air) so I knew it was the carb. Cleaned and rebuilt the carb and no joy. Took it to the dealer and that was a shit-show. It was there for over eight months. I finally bought a new carb and that fixed it.
Nobody could fix it 😂🤣😂😂
Only 1 person tried to after being rebuilt then old joey boy blows her up 😂🤣😂🤣😂
lol,so true,his channel is becoming a joke!!!
Wow... bummer... Looking forward to seeing what the problem is... Great videos... Thank you...
that motor has not been rebuilt
Classic “I lost the receipts” build. Sounded like the cam chain went on a trip, whether the tensioner was ill adjusted or the cam sprocket wasn’t tightened correctly. Even if they did have it running, without a load you may not notice it. The good thing is if you roached the head there’s tons of good used parts available for them, they make good budget “thrash” bikes for woods racing when it’s muddy or need some practice.
Nobody could fix it???🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

The bike sounded like a ticking time bomb with the valve knock... You checked what I thought might make those terrible sounds, but those sounds are never good and need investigated ASAP especially after a rebuild. This wasn't your fault and it is killing me wondering what gave way inside the motor Joe! Maybe some Chinesium parts were used by the previous owner in the rebuild? I love your videos and keep up the good work! You have came a long way over the years buddy!
Joe uses chinesium parts all the time?
Why aren't you using a small chair or the central stand of the bike to stand on it with your left leg when kicking the bike over? You will be sitting on a higher point and you will have a lot more leverage kicking it over, a lot more pedal travel with a higher impulse and you don't put so much tension on your right leg. What if it kicks back and your thigh is bent over to the back? if you are over the bike standing upright, you might have a chance saving that knee. Btw cool content you have and super patience. Awesome. keep up the great work. enjoying watching you.
I love your videos there are many of these videos but your are special because you talk to your audience an make if feel so much more engaging thanks for good videos

Bummer on the misfortunate situation, but I'm eager to see what you find out. Every setback is a learning opportunity.
Bummer🙁 Man, I was really rooting for you. Looking forward to what the heck happened. Vinny didn’t do his inspection 😁
BRAVO, once again your patience and skill level overcome many obstacles.
I am for sure he can tell that the engine wasn't running right , he just went ahead and made the video anyway, he don't care about the engine blowing up, he'll rebuild it, I enjoy watching the videos , And I'm sure everyone else does also,
At 10:14 "Ya air filter is missing" ...
(with the air filter installed) Can't wait to see what rookie mistake the builder made.
Three twists on throttle and a nice even kick. Doesn't even need to be a hard kick. If it doesn't fire right up, 3 more twists and try again. I have had that happen before. It sucks. Some silly thing gets overlooked and boom, she broke. Can't wait to see what it was.
I love when you work on more of the modern bikes,ATV’S I like the classic ones too just not as much. But All the content is Awesome Love the channel keep the awesome content coming
It looks like you need a hug from mom that always helps
Seller; I rebuilt it but it won't start.
Me; RUNNING 🏃🏃
Love that u fix all the bikes that guys dont have a clue whats wrong u f.....king rock bro been a sub for three years
Decomp thing sounded engaged in field good luck with it
Trying to get content out, bike was running horrible!!
Hopefully, you can get her going easily after that quick spin.
na he spend all his money on a spark plug tester
Wait, wait…when you first started it I was yelling at my screen saying, “it will blow up in 2 seconds”😉
Did you just blast the debris in the clogged line back into the carb? The violence taking the spark plug out is hard to watch too but I can see your skills are coming up, admire your honesty when it goes wrong at the end.
Oh no!!! I was rooting for you, then kabooie! I know you will get her fixed. Can’t wait to see what it is.
It really started making noise before you left for the ride. Hope it's not too bad. I can't wait to see.
fun tip you can use the coil to grab the spark plug once you have it loose
Wasn’t expecting the bike to lock up at the end. 😅. Looking forward to the next video for this bike. Cheers joe
A little helpful advice when you hear a motor rattling like that thing was shut it off. I can hear that thing rattling as soon as you started it up I know you could hear it lol you live you learn
sometimes you can use screws for winter riding ... if you can catch dirt through the snow or no snow, it is like riding in the summer...i own a 2004 ..hope to learn something...i have never used my hot start...the gear box and engine use 2 separate types of oil...now i know how to replace water pump seal ...sounds like something was not assembled correctly..
i own a 2007 crf250r and the seller lied about it after a ton of parts and time we figurd out the carb was out of tune so after that it starts beter than a new yamaha and i learned a lot a long the way after we fixed that i droped it in a field it lost spark turns out the stater was coverd in trash so i cleaned it and now i got to replace the forkseals and a few bearings but it runs like brand new money
You need to interview these sellers when you purchase these. It would tell so much more of the story😂😂
All the sellers are like the first episode of house M.D, "everybody lies"
Love your videos Joe, curious as to why sometimes you don't kick the bike over or check fluids at the owners home ? Keep the videos coming ! I do learn from you ! Thanks john
When you started it at the land, it didn't sound too good..I wasn't sure if it was sound on phone..guess not....
Get a "case saver" (front sprocket chain guard) on there before you throw a chain and are looking for a set of cases!!
