A smart move from Scott getting you and board Francis and a bonus for you too because as lovely as Wilier is they are known as a road brand not so much on the MTB. Scott has some seriously good bikes in most categories. I hope you enjoy the new Spark it certainly looks amazing.
I run my TwinLok with the fork disconnected. This allows you to still have squish up front on all terrain but when climbing or pushing through a rock garden you can go rear full lock, or half way in the trail position. Beautiful bike!
Nice bike! If only any of them were available to others than sponsored race teams and influencers. Scott does not even answer mails. I have given up and will race on my 14 kilo steel hardtail this year.
Amazing bike, and I love these build videos, your friends know so much 💯 Really love the attention to detail and how they explain in great depth why things are the way they are 👍 And to top it they sounds really awesome people 👌💚
i had a spark 710 premium after I sold my Santa Cruz Blur. only 100mm travel. it felt bottomlessly plush, was light as a feather and any hill id point it up, it would involuntarily rip my legs right off, such a fast bike and constantly wanted to go! im sure youll find the same Francis! ❤❤❤ put the Santa Cruz to shame if im honest!
Looking forward to your review. Interested to hear whether the added travel is more help or hinderance in your neck of the woods. I ride the 110f/100 rear Spark RC. Even it can take some spicy downhills.
Nic's accent sounds so much like one of my South African friends. Quite an amazing bike, and so light. I wonder if you'll end up spinning out the 34t front ring. Depends on the course, I guess.
Hey Francis, love the new bike and the shoutout to SAFA. Got a question about the Fidlock saddle bag. Does it fit a mini-pump like a Lezyne Pocket Drive Pro? or do you solely rely on CO2 canisters ? maybe a quick video about what you bring in it would be cool!
That dropper lever can be easily removed if you are not using it. Really keen to see how you keep the neatness with the axs dropper post, will you run a sram blip system with a blip button in the grip?
@@Cade_Media awesome, those axs posts do get quite expensive when you need to add in the blip system for Scott bikes, it’s a tricky set up but when you get it right it looks real good! Congrats on the machine, enjoy it !
Congrats on the new bike! Are you planning to run rally pedals on this bike? I'd be interested to see what you think of the conversion process from road to mtb bodies.
I have the same bike, not the supersonic colour way though so a bit jealous. What offset crank did you buy? I want to put an xx1 crank on my bike but the 55mm chain line is confusing me.
I think it's a regular eagle crank and then the 0mm offset chainring from absolute black means it's far enough out. We also added a wafer thin spacer on the driveside but not sure it needs it looking at the space between the frame and chainring
Crankbros candy, plastic body, light as egg beaters but as stable as mallet-e I run mallet DH on my enduro bike and the plastic candies on my gravel and trail bike
Love the bike design th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
No issues with assembly for me th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".
Enve is replacing brocken rims? I would not believe such a bold statement in advance. Haven’t heard from a single carbon manufacturer replacing broken parts for free. You get a crash discount yes, but not free. And saying the alloy rim has 15 dents as a form of criticism on alloy is amusing. It is still functioning? The carbon rim won‘t get dents, that‘s true. It will just crack.
Stealthy shout-out to SAFA Brian on the top tube! Honestly, you two are responsible for some of the best bike vlogs on TH-cam.
Pray for Speed Rulez!
Yay for SAFA sticker on the top tube ! 😀
Really great bike! I love the hidden rear shock. Awesome video as always.
Looking forward to you meeting up with Dangerholm.
Oh cool new bike day

Now that’s what you call a bike!
I run my TwinLok with the fork disconnected. This allows you to still have squish up front on all terrain but when climbing or pushing through a rock garden you can go rear full lock, or half way in the trail position. Beautiful bike!
Nice plant on first 2 secs!!
Seen the Instagram preview at work and now I can watch!
crispy video quality francis, and that bike, hella fine as well.
Hidden rear shock 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 love it
I'm due for a new XC bike in July. I'd been planning on a Specialized Epic, but seeing this Scott built has me questioning that choice.
Badass looking bike!
I just bought a Scott Addict RC 30 2022 and in love it with it, Im started to think that Scott really is one of the best bike makers
That head unit holder is neat! Need one of those for myself
SAFA BRIAN IS BEAST!!
Happy new bike day 🥳 Enjoy the need whip!
Another great video Francis, love Nick’s input. Especially 4litres of sealant 🤣🤣
Greetings from Hanover - home of Fidlock. ;)
Looks very very nice, keeping Nic busy with all this after hours spannering .Will be interested on how it compares to your old one.
Damn that’s a nice bike and that gold, oh my god I love it.
Nice bike! If only any of them were available to others than sponsored race teams and influencers. Scott does not even answer mails. I have given up and will race on my 14 kilo steel hardtail this year.
i got a spark rc team and ended up selling my grravel and road bike. dont need much more speed then that lol.
Trick bike. Needs the AXS dropper. Welcome to Nino’s world! Although he is getting spanked at the Cape Epic by a couple of the Wiliers team(s)!
Very fine!
Ohhh yeah, now you're talking. I was just wondering what you were doing for an XC bike since switching to "Tony Co." I guess this will have to do.
Nice Goldie Lookin Chain reference

0:17 lovely camera work!
Thanks Francis...very nice bike . Now it'll be harder to choose ? Horses for courses , I know .....but still . Peace
That bike looks seriously bling 🚀
this is my dream. omg i need to keep saving
Delicious!!! I want one!

Stunningly beautiful bike 👌
That’s possibly the biggest cassette I’ve ever seen…..great looking bike and build.
I knew it!! Sweet ride
Awesome bike. A big lesson for the most expensive competition...
Super nice bike 👍🏻
Sicky new bike !! I need one in my life
Nic's accent sounds so much like one of my South African friends. Quite an amazing bike, and so light. I wonder if you'll end up spinning out the 34t front ring. Depends on the course, I guess.
Fit. Love it.
Nice to bump into you the other day in BYBS Francis (lad who bought a restrap bag and talked about Nics broken USB port 😂). Bike build looks awesome.
Nice bike I would like to try one out. Happy trails. Cheers.
I'm having a "sweet, sweet fantasy bay-bay" about owing that bike myself.
Lovely.
Any chance of going a little more in depth on that fidlock saddle bag?
Pray for Speed 😍
Great video, as always. Awesome bike! Looking forward to more reviews.
Love the bike looks awesome
Awesome Bike buddy. Any tips on removing and Aluminum Seat post that is stuck in a carbon frame??
Sweet bike Francis, and it’s 4kg lighter than my Ti hardtail 29’er!
Gonna have to get some time ATAC pedals to match the rest of the SRAM.
Tyres seating is perhaps the greatest noise in the world

lovely build but my biggest question, is what compressor adaptor did he use when inflating that tyre on the rim?
I'm sure I rode passed Nick late Monday afternoon on NCN7, so much for fancy pedals 😆
This bike looks good as a bikepacker
That dropper lever can be easily removed if you are not using it.
Really keen to see how you keep the neatness with the axs dropper post, will you run a sram blip system with a blip button in the grip?
Got some shims now so I might just run my existing 27.2 dropper - definitely the cheaper option too
@@Cade_Media awesome, those axs posts do get quite expensive when you need to add in the blip system for Scott bikes, it’s a tricky set up but when you get it right it looks real good!

SOOOOO JEALOUS!!! My dream MTB bike :(
Where do you put all these bikes? You must have enough to start a hire company or shop by now….do you get to keep all the Wilier Bikes as well?
TIL Fidlock make a saddle bag.
Thanks for vid! How tall are you? Curious on your height/ seat height as well!
93.4% of us are running SRAM groupset with Shimano pedals, it’s all good 👍
When are you planning to do the epic? It looks brutal!
Haha me and Toby were chatting about this yesterday. As soon as we can get funding for it !
Hey Francis,
Nice build, are you riding Epic 2023?
Also, no power meter?
I have the same bike, not the supersonic colour way though so a bit jealous. What offset crank did you buy? I want to put an xx1 crank on my bike but the 55mm chain line is confusing me.

@@Cade_Media so not a boost one?
Nice bike..what size dropper u getting?
NICE!!
The gold 🙈
New bike after new bike after new bike. You are no longer one of us.
Hi! I'm hesitating between 2 sizes, you said you took a M frame, how tall are you? Thanks!
Alright, calm it Nino. Ignore me I'm just jealous of your new Scott Spark.
I must have missed it but where did your Scott Foil go?
In my house
@@Cade_Media 🤣 fair
Is it just the supersonic edition that doesn’t have the second bottle cage mounts on the size medium?
it's just mine and a couple of pro athletes bikes that don't have a second bottle cage mount - all the production ones do
Safa sticker ✌️
What garmin mount is that? Having trouble finding the one that fits that stem
Is this a lifetime warranty like trek carbon?
Nice bike, but I'm definitely a road guy !
Lush build!
Dropper post?
My Troy Lee Helmet has a fidlock strap
How come no garmin pedals on this?
Saving those for next week's build 👀
Crankbros candy, plastic body, light as egg beaters but as stable as mallet-e
I run mallet DH on my enduro bike and the plastic candies on my gravel and trail bike
AXS is pronounced “access”, Sram even says that on their website
Nice bike but where are your dust caps it’s messing with my head man 😂
one fell off, the other is still there!
@@Cade_Media 😂 now you’ll be looking to replace the one that fell off . Try as you might Francis you’re still a roadie at heart
Last 🎁
Damn
One Swweeeet bike

Dayum your xc bike weighs as much as my fixed gear
I had SRAM once.
Good God that's a SEXY bike 🥵
