    Trubisky actually played well in the loss to the Eagles. It came down to a FG and it was partially blocked. Trubisky threw for about 300 yds and led the drive to get the Bears into FG range.

    Wasn't Trubisky's fault for 2018. As a Bears fan for over 40 years, it was TOTALLY the coaches bad play calling. Mahomes,or any other QB would have failed.

      Yeah not a Bears fan but someone who actually watches football and not bias can actually see when it's the QB or coaches fault. For example, Tannehill was playing good for the Titans these past few seasons but his stock shot way down after that horrible performance by him. Or Wentz who actually played really well this season but that lost to the Jags was not only on him but really the whole team and coaches. Still surprised that they barely ran that ball. A game they were supposed to win. So yeah my point Trubisky got screwed in my opinion

      Nagy held trubiskys balls man! I hated it. When they would catch rhythm, they would get t.ds but then Nagy would do some weird trick play or some bullshit that just killed everything and helped the d get the their momentum back. Glad Nagy gone! Goo riddens

    Without doubt, the best team with the worst quarterback was the 1971 Vikings. When they cut Joe Kapp for asking for money, they went with their second-string QB, Gary Cuozzo, who was a dentist in the off-season. Played like it, too. Every single drive started with a run up the middle, a run wide, and a pass. Then, usually, a punt. That was maybe the best defense in the history of the NFL, but Cuozzo phoned it in.

    Kordell Stewart doesnt deserve any gruff, he made things happen, when the play was breaking down. He even played WR at points. So maybe it wasnt entirely his fault, maybe his teams head office should have given him better players around him....let's just not talk about his short stint with Balty👀. Can't lay it all on the QB. A good coach knows his QB's limitations and game plans accordingly. Brady's rookie year the patriots threw more screen passes than I've ever seen. They lived off it. Mike Tomlin beat the Bengals with a third string quarterback. Yes a sub par qb can limit you but football is a team game. Remember the Ravens won it with Trent Dilfer.

    the 1990 Eagles are ABSOLUTELY #1 in this category...it's a crime they arent mentioned....they had IMO the GREATEST D OF ALLTIME for that one year...Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Clyde Simmons, Eric Allen, Seth Joyner, Wes Hopkins and Andre Waters they ranked #1 against the run AND pass...the team lost Randall Cunningham in the first game and lost backup Jim McMahon soon after...and then the merry go round of terrible waiver wire QBs started...they even brought in that guy from the Jets (O'brien I think was his name) who hadnt even been in the league for a year...the O was just TERRIBLE....they won games by defense alone...they DESTROYED teams....they put out almost every Houston WR in that infamous Monday night massacre of the Warren Moon led run and shoot...in spite of having one of the worst Os in the league they won TEN games...which will normally get a team in the Playoffs, unfortunately, not that year. IMO if that team had made the POs they still would have one the Superbowl....I'll stack that D up to ANY in history at least for that one year...Iron Curtain....Purple ppl Eaters....Doomsday.....that Eagles D was amazng.....they not only beat opposing Os ....they MAIMED them....

      Both years the receiving core was below average, not to mention the below average oline They have a stud multi positional receiver/slot/runningback player and a bunch of below average receivers who dropped alot in playoffs. Jimmy did execute vs rams in week 18 to pass for a td with seconds left to tie it. Also in a bad weathered game vs green Bay drove down and won it.
      Unfortunately vs rams the second time the offensive line choked at the end of the game. And for some odd reason Jimmy gets the blame.

    • @jackwilson5152
      @jackwilson5152 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mrnotnice2605 taking the sack would have been a guaranteed loss. They aren't going to convert a 4th and 20, especially not with that receiving core and the oline giving half a second to pass. Unless you think Rams would have kindly intentionally let 49ers get the first down.
      Jimmy had no logical choice but to toss it up for the receiver to try and make a nice catch, so they have a shorter field on 4th. But instead the receiver just popped it up for the defense to get an int.

    • @ninjaundermyskin
      @ninjaundermyskin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackwilson5152 your take is easily more insightful than mine. But it wasn't just the last drive. Jimmy threw several incomplete passes to the sideline that should have been picked off, and other bad passes (across multiple games) that were picked off. I heard this on Grant Cohn's channel: he's like an arsonist and a fire firefighter. He puts the team into difficult situations, and then sometimes he plays the hero at the end. A consistently decent performance would be more beneficial (I really don't want to say it, but, maybe someone like Kirk Cousins?)

    1. Quarterbacks get way too much credit and blame for the teams performance.
    2. Matt Nagy ruined Trubisky. I will go to the grave saying this.
    3. Jimmy Garoppolo gets way too much hate. Give the man an o-line and more weapons and he has shown he can get the job done.
    4. I will always appreciate Shaun King’s effort for the team. The eagles were always a pain in those days. So don’t take shots at Shaun, also he played through injuries.

      jimmy has as much weapons as he needs, and his o-line is good. i dont know what you’re talking about, he has a great team around him, he’s just a very limited quarterback with poor decision making , and poor pocket awareness when he’s pressured.

    • @twisterduck1944
      @twisterduck1944 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right on with your first point. QBs are very important but I do get tired of saying so and so is better than QB A because they have more wins or rings. It takes all the guys on a team to win a Super Bowl. In my opinion you could be the great QB ever and never win a ring if the team around isn’t good. (Best real like example is Drew Brees. By far the best statical QB but only ever had a SB winning team around him a couple of times in his prime. Saint wasted most of it with a bottom of the league defense and lower end WRs. If only prime Brees was on the Saints now)

    Collins Shouldn’t be on this list. He drove the Titans in the Ravens game twice into the redzone only for someone to fumble the ball away. If you take away at least one of those fumbles that game goes to OT with a Field Goal, Win with a Touchdown. If you take away both fumbles that weren’t his fault they would’ve kicked two field goals at the least and that would’ve been enought to win. Not to mention that Joe Flacco got away with a blatant delay of game on the game winning drive on a pivotal play. Also Chris Johnson got knocked out early and the offense was really designed around him. The Ravens couldn’t stop him in the first quarter and if had played the whole game there is no question they would’ve won that game. Also Rob Bironas missed a field goal which is important cause they lost by 3 points. Also Joe Flacco got lucky on three yolo balls that were pretty much the ravens entire offense for the day. All 3 of then were extremely lucky and the 3rd one to Todd Heap shouldn’t have counted because like I said before the play clock was at 0. The Titans were without there starting center which led to a botched 4th down attempt that turned the ball over. This also hurt the protection for Collins all day. Not only did Jeff Fischer make an idiotic decision to go for it on 4th and 8 against an incredible Ravens defense but he also inexplicably decided not to go for it on 4th and 1 with a great power back like White in the backfield.

    • @KinkESizemore

    Wasn’t Sanchez’s fault at all. First off, no one expected them to get to the playoffs, let alone even as a Jets fan I didn’t think they’d beat Indy in the AFC Championship. Speaking of … remember the year after when back in Indy, he led a Game-winning drive … 🤷🏻‍♂️ Second, that wasn’t a fumble in Pittsburgh. Hometown call. If you aren’t a fan of the Steelers and even if you hate the Jets … you can’t say at all that Pittsburgh many times were gifted by the refs.
