I just bought this truck as a 6.6 gas, with the Pro package (the lowest level). Its still nicely equipped, keyless entry, cloth, aluminum wheels, tinted power windows, it has slightly less chrome on the grille, but looks pretty similar and I only paid 55,255.
I just picked up a loaded 2024 3500HD Sierra X-31 off-road SLT. Pretty much had everything that an AT4 has but for about 6k less. The sticker price was $83k. Shop, compare and save some $$.
Nice review. I don’t think I’d call the SLT trim a low trim level though. That truck is very nicely optioned. Just needs 20s which are typically available but I have read on the groups that 20s on an LTZ are on an indefinite constraint and I know on the build and price website you can’t even select the standard LTZ 20s. But the max tow package is a no brainer option if you’re ordering a 2500 diesel.
Totally agree, Matt. The SLT is a nice trim. Any package over SLT in my humble opinion is overpriced for what you get. GMC did the customer right with the SLT package. The 20" inch is what we have on ours. Could not be happier, and looks great! Another great review. Have a great weekend ✌️out.
I just ordered a 24 SLT Premium instead of the Denali. 3 reasons, do not like the sun roof, power boards do not last and I saved almost 10k! FYI, Chevrolet and GMC is basically the SAME TRUCK! Only differences on the interior is the emblems.....
The Sierra SLE & SLT trims utilizes the "streamline" interior. Only the AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trims have the premium interior, which is noticeably nicer with the amount of premium materials used. The design/layout is also a little more upscale.
That is basically my truck. I have the black 2500 sle crew cab 8' bed. I think im changing the grill lots of chrome. But mine is a gas x31 I have a question about the bed outlet. How can I increase the Amp output? I can't even run my shop vac on it... one of the reasons I picked that truck
I have the Chevy version LTZ and it has the auto feature and I love it for driving around in the winter and pulling out of snow covered roads where I might slip. But even if it has the auto 4wd feature you don’t have to use it it still has 2wd 4wh and low as well.
@@arlynmartin91 It still has the clutch pack whether you select auto or not. If people want that, fine, but I don't want a clutch pack in an HD t-case, and should have the choice.
Only thing inaccurate is the compassion you made to the fake wood accenting on doors and center console. Your LTZ is a glossed wood like trim. The SLT has a more natural wood look. I prefer the SLT.

The SLT use to be the top trim so definitely a nice trim level.
These HD trucks have a stiff ride. 20s are teeth jarring. The 18s have a much more comfortable ride.

Pretty hard to find an upper trim without a diesel but yeah.....no diesel for me
The heat AC vent adjusters look like little bow ties too. Maybe it’s just the camera but would be funny if they kept the Chevy bow tie in a GMC.

Think its just air vents and placement of 13" screen that is different on GMC
