Built in 2014, Merlin View followed the successful build of Bobcat the previous year and it shares the same trademark features: consistent grades for easier climbing and flowing descents, sweeping bermed corners, rollers, bumps & table-tops. It has some good views too but you're likely to be too engaged by the trail to notice. This is a very popular trail, so be sure to get out there early or on weekdays. Hottest trail around, its fun, flowy, good climb and nice easy and fun descent.

The go-pro effect is so crazy! I know Merlin very well and it's steeper than this. You can sort of tell, with how the bike is speeding up but, still, watching this video, you'd think this trail was almost flat. This is why I can watch a video a video on youtube and think 'ok, looks fun', and then go out to it and be scared for my life.
....But seriously, good ride! You hit that at a speed that I wish I had the courage to do. I've always wanted to send that jump at 3:47, but then you said it almost launched you and now I feel a little better about my caution.

Thanks for the comment. The trail is definitely really fun. Going fast is definitely pretty intense! I do agree, the go pro effect makes trails deceiving! Keep shredding!

Rode this trail during the weekend on my hardtail and It's incredible, It makes you go fast easy. it was my first time there and i enjoyed it a lot.

Marlin Trail is a great classic, however it is not as jumpy as it was before.

After checking trail forks I can tell this place is actually good. I’m unusually into gnarly’er the better.
I’d be keen on meeting some people around here and doin lotta riding. I’m 20 and can keep up. Lemme know if ya need a extra guy to ride with!
