I really think key is such a cool person who appreciates the vintage and ”old day” vibes as shown in this video. Like he could’ve just watched The Sound Of Music on Disney or smthing but no, he bought a whole vintage tv just to use the vcr tape. That’s amazing! Love the dedication!
That was lovely - not just watching Julie Andrews singing in The Sound of Music but Key recreating that space in his home that was similar to that from his childhood home. He also brought us in to share those memories with him (and each other) so that we could also share our own memories [in the comments]. So wholesome!
For Key, my mum has dementia and just loves to watch The Sound of Music. She watches it every day. It gives her a great deal of comfort. It was lovely to watch you getting so much joy from the same film.
This just makes me fall in love with Key even more 🥰 being born in 83 and understanding everything he was feeling makes you realize how great it was for us growing up back in the days because younger people just don't get how much we treasure things like this ❤
Thank you, Key, for taking us back in time!! You've motivated me to check around my city to see if I can find a VCR. I have plenty of VHS's stored away from my sons' childhood days (they're in their 30s now), so it would be fun to watch.
I remember taking our VHS of this to watch at my grandparents' house! We were excited, so of course when we put it in, it was at the end and we had to just sit there while it re-wound... Worth it!

I can relate to key so much. Sound of music will always be that nostalgic movie such an impactful movie but apart from it the nostalgia it holds of us being a kid now hits so different 😭😭😭 i feel growing up is just reminiscing the past in a better light.❤

I STILL have my sound of music vhs tape. 2 vcrs and my vhs collection stored away. Although i LOVE the picture quality and sound of new tvs and streaming i HATE i cant access old movies. So i kept my dvd player /vhs. I would play 2/3 movies a day even as background noise and i would say the lines out loud of the movies i loved so much 😂. As julie andrews sang- i sang along. Its such an AMAZING movie. I also loved her in Disneys "mary poppins" - ps. Did key buy that cd ? Of his with the signatures? I would have! And displayed it in his room. ❤
Kibumah, vhs tapes, you're such a stalwart. My childhood didn't have them, (tho we had them when I was a student), but I do have a lot of DVDs of those movies, too (Disney and anime series, hah)
Aye, we have similar childhood memories...my gmom would put musicals on for me😊 plus i think most of us grew up on that pop music, BSB, NSYNC & Britney etc... good ol days

If she can see good- put the subtitles on so she can "remember" lyrics- if she forgot some.
