- Operating session at the Carquinez Model Railroad Society (CMRS) in Crockett, CA. This is the first op session I have attended since early March and as you will be able to see many health precautions are being taken. Hopefully I will be able to do more if things stay open, but in all honesty probably not...
The reason I have not been uploading too many videos as of late is, of course, due to current events, but also because life in general got in the way.
On a happier note however, the trackwork on my own layout is complete and I have been doing solo op sessions to see how cars flow around the railroad. Stay tuned for an introductory video and subsequent operations video.

I would love to see this but I am still concerned about the climbing Covid health numbers at the end of 2022. BUT I am so glad to see this FANTASTIC model railroad prosper and grow. GREAT JOB!

How do you power a layout that size? I know next to nothing about wiring. When I had a large 12×15 N-scale layout back in the power pack days, I used feeder wires around sections of the layout. I had an excellent Tech ll power pack with Pulse Injection, so even the mediocre locomotives of the day (1980s to early 90s) ran wonderfully at low speed.
Nice scenery, very authentic and cool trestles and industries.
I pretty sure since this is a DCC layout that they use a whole lot of power packs and have broken up the layout into electrically isolated sections.

How did you hold the camera so steady as you ran through the layout room? Was someone infected with Corona chasing you? Lol! Even through the blur, I was able to see that this is a pretty amazing layout! P.S. I set it at the slowest playback speed and was still longing for more!
