Bonobo Mother Tries To Get Her Baby Back

- Bonobo Mum Likemba is going after another youngster who just stolen her baby from her. Mum tries to keep up to get her baby back, but the teenagers are just too quick. Baby Lola hangs on tight to the teenager that balances on the top of the climbing frame, with another youngster following the two. It all looks quite hectic and scary for the little baby Lola (eleven months old). Poor mum even slips on the top log while in pursuit. She manages to hold on to the log and kept chasing the youngsters. Back down the bottom she finally caught up with the teenager and as gentle and timid as Likemba is, she got her baby back. The teenager has another go at getting Lola, but mum holds on to her little one and moves off. Sitting down later with her baby holding her daughter tight in her arms.

unfortunately they didn't. They lay in the grass while she was chasing.
It seemed like it to me. If you notice once she has her baby she puts an arm out to a female laying on the ground, like hey, I need help here. Then as she has her back against the wall you see one or two females chasing one of them away. Unless the mom would have been screaming or the baby, they probably would have helped, but the mom was only chasing them.

I have to agree with other commenters-this video was difficult to watch. Poor mom was so frantic and baby was so confused. Thank goodness mom got her baby back safe and sound.💕

Does this happen often? My heart almost couldn’t take seeing how frantic mom was.
It was the first time I've seen them take the baby. I did feel sorry for mum, she's such a gentle soul and cares very much for her baby. My heart sunk when she slipped. Luckily she was able to hold on.

Oh yes I think he would have done it, but Ozala would have knocked him out for it lol. She definitely wouldn't of been as gentle as Likemba. 😁
awww Sloggie...I'm feeling SO *S O O O* guilty because I confess to EVERY time I rewatched this, (& it's been *numerous* times...HaHa) I've laughed harder & harder & harder, once I could actually uncover my eyes...LOLOL...I just couldn't help myself...Especially knowing Bonobo's general nature, I didn't expect any serious 'trouble'...
As you said, sweet little baby Lola knows how to "hang on tightly") However, what an absolute PERFECT example of cheekiness' on the" kidnapper's" part... LOLOL...I'm not saying my heart didn't practically jump out of my chest at first...Especially seeing the naughty teenager stubbornly NOT willingly wanting to hand back Momma's baby...I also cracked up at how the other adults seemed to be just barely noticing...Like they're thinking, "well at least it's not *MY* baby"...HaHaHa...Thanks for all the excitement Sloggie, dear...(shame on m e...). *: )*
The teenagers would get on well with Lope😁😁. Mind you Ozala wouldn't be quite as gentle. 😁Little Lola probably enjoyed the rollercoaster ride.
