This album changed my life path forever 30 years ago when I was 11. I’ll never forget the first time I ou the cd in, and laid down in bed when I was 11 after taking my Christmas money and going to the import section of my local record store (gator records - san clemente) Thank you Orb for the little fluffy clouds and everything that came after it.
Soooo soooo sooooo blessed to have had orB nearly all my life & to have caught as many live shows in the states as I did (aand 100 jerry dead shows in 1½ yrs)...I'd prolly be willing to cut something off (nothing required for boggeyin'...maybe a pinky toe) to have caught them all Having been deeply involved in both cultures, I feel it was even better to be coming of age in the early 90's, than it was in the 60's Only through those 20+ yrs did our tech's ability to fully cater to those in a "maximum entertainment/stimulus receiving" state really begin to reach an appropriate & adequate degree of maturity Grateful dead did a MARVELOUS job, considering the band & the experience were essentially born together/of each other
I climbed up on a mesa in Joshua Tree after a solo cross country drive in a VW Adventurwagen. I put in my earbuds, sparked one up, and cranked up Oblivion. That music was my companion across the whole continent, and had found its way into my soul. It was close to dusk and there were seven different skies, depending on the direction I was looking. It was magnificent and rare, and became a very emotional moment for me.
Loved The Orb for 32 years. First time i heard them was on a beach tripping my balls off when someone put the album this track is on (Ultraworld) on the tape player (😂). Started coming up half way when this track started and by the time A Huge.. ended i was melting into the sand and sunset. Seen them many times since,February the last and November the next. Timeless doobie tunes. Often imitated, never beaten, always here and never gone. A Orb Is For Life. Don't Leave Earth Without One. 🎉
@R0ckMum 🤣 Seen Gong live along with The Ozrics(who formed in 1984 four years before The Orb so hardly decades and also not a influence)many times ,i am also aware of Sphongle (formed in the 90s btw)and own material by Hallucinogen . Also they were not influenced by the type of bands you would expect, NY house was the main influence along with Dub Reggae with a bit of Electronica thrown in. Alex told me himself that he never got the "Hippy" thing as he was always "Punk".
Nice work Dr. Alex! One of the coolest AI videos I've seen so far. Gotta admit tho, I am still a little freaked out about all the rasta-men's hands and fingers LOL!
B side to the single release of this is bordering on my most favourite track of all time...Star 6789 phase II, sublime. Loving the vid of this after all the years...might awaken a whole new set of fans too. Keep it up
Definitely the best AI music video i have seen so far, Rastas in space, brilliant! i wish we have had this video back then when we were tripping to this song at parties!
If David Gilmore is playing with your group you’ve officially made the apex of music. I’m so totally envious you guys met AND RECORDED WITH my guitar hero!
It’s been 8 or 9 years since I saw them live. Would love to catch them again. Their music has inspired me to move and feel peace for over 3 decades. Love the video as well

Found that orb cd on a flea market 30 years ago, fell in love instantly. This was so abstract and beautiful, a tale of the fu ture in sound form. Now it sounds fresh still. What an amazing piece.
Its the 90s im walking to school and listening to my tresured orb tape i stole off my older brother on my Walkman, debating to myself do i buy lunch or 10 lambert and butler with my £1.20 lunch money things were so simple then
💜 loved this song for decades and only just seeing this video. 😂Update Ok I’m back after watching whole video and realise it’s a beautiful reprise. Love it and going to find the original too 😂
The album Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld was a game changer for it's time and inspired so many people. there should be a documentary on the make of this album and all the people involved in making it.
Amazing video fusion of AI creativity!!!!! I love it! Good to see proper use of this technology... You guys rule!!! Been following and listening since 1993!!!

Anyway, guys, you are aural geniuses, and have been since the early 90's! 👍 😎🇬🇧
Some parts of the AI generated clips are better than others but if you don't look for the flaws this video is amazing. I always liked that track. Thank you ORB
@@fragwagon yeah, the flaws are what i look for, but the whole thing is beautiful, at least here and especially with this soundtrack. i'm not a fan of AI taking over our lives and being pushed by Big Tech with new phones & browser 'upgrades' etc etc, but with the orb i'll allow it as they were always experimenting with new tech and it fits this tune
I love the Orb, but AI really effs with us. What's with the random hand at 1:49 - 1:54 ? I have loved how this music has expanded our / my consciousness over the last 30 years, but AI feels deceptive, not expansive.
