Void Dominion - Dread

Hi all!
Second single is out!
I actually wrote this song back in 2005 (almost 20 years ago, OMG), and I had an instrumental demo of it recorded, but now I've decided that it's time to make a real song out of it and get it released.
So here we are!
This is more of a Death-Doom metal song, rather than Melodic Death metal (I just was in that mood when I composed it, I guess).

The sky is turning black, the sun begins to fade
The world consumed by darkness, all hope starts to wane
A sense of dread fills the air, as the end draws near
No light left to guide us, only fear
The earth shakes with a deafening roar
As chaos spreads from shore to shore
The cries of anguish fill the air
A world once full now stripped bare
This is the end of all we know
Our world consumed in flames below

This is our final hour, the end of days has come
Our world will crumble and fall, we are undone
Memories of better times flash before my eyes
But now they seem so distant as we hear earth’s cries
In this bleak landscape of despair
There's no escape from what's out there

And so it ends with a whisper not a bang
