i have seen those lumps mostly just a clump of skin and dead cells or ingrown hair treat it with preoxcide or zinc and keep a eye on it someone should take sophie out berry picking and mushroom hunting and show her how to live off the land i reckon she would love it
Apparently Gabby can’t take a joke😂 When you said “Gabby’s eating popcorn and cat food for breakfast”, she said “no, I’m taking it down to the barn for the cat”.🤦🏻♀️😂
Storms lump kinda looks like a sarcoid, they are lots of treatments from your vet. Some horses have laser treatment, in the UK we also have cream from the vets called 'blood root ointment' or 'liverpool cream' that normally work well xx
1:21, don't feel guilty Laura. Horses love to be out in the pasture/paddock. They honestly don't care whether you ride them or not, but they do hate just sitting there in a stall. But if they are in the pasture or a paddock they are happy as can be. Especially if they have other horses as company.
Thx for hearting my comment, I mean that’s not how we found out I had it, but I’ve learned that that is kinda the number one red flag. And obviously if it is getting bigger or he is eating less and drinking less.
if storm has cancer I'm really sorry!!!! my cat fudge had Cancer. he died the day after my birthday a year-and-a-half ago. So I know what it feels like if he does.
What did I say Laura? Sam has his heart horse! I have day dreams during the day and that was one of them many weeks ago when I told you in the comments!
I hope Storm doesn’t have cancer that would be so devastating! I really hope he doesn’t.😢 Love your channel so much you are amazing and a big inspiration to me ❤️❤️❤️
All the grays at my barn have cancer including my horse Misty. It’s really sad but they can still be ridden. My trainer said every grey gets cancer sooner or later so that’s why. I hope he’s okay tho. But if he does it will be fine. Also the lump could be a fat pocket. My horse has it from cancer
If it was a cancerous tumor/lump it'd be a tad larger. But hope stormy is alright.love y'all so so much!💜 I also do agree that the lump might just be extra cells piling together seeing as to the way storm was acting his normal self and not skiddish or extremely tired.
Hi! I’d say its a sarcoid! My horse had one in the past. It’s best to get it treated ASAP as it can spread to other horses! In the UK we use Liverpool cream given by the vet and that usually works! As long as it’s not in the saddle area you can still ride! Hope this helps! X
I always have a bottle of spray peroxide in the barn and trailer because it works amazing on wounds for horses and humans also it almost always fomes up
I hope storm gets better, don't worry but just to be safe I would get it checked out by a vet if it doesn't go down in a few days or so. I haven't been riding for around a month now since I hit my knee into a fence which my knee was dragged along and left me with bruising, whilst riding a horse. But I have decided I'm going to get back on a horse and be brave. Fin has improved so much since the beginning! Chino is doing really well, he's so beautiful! I hope Willow has improved with Stella and Grace looks like she has fit in well and Skye is doing so well too! Love you all. ❤️
I thought this year was going to be alright at school I was wrong.... yup happens every year. And I know I commented this yesterday but yeah. It’s ok I’ll get past.
Always remember that school is only temporary you aren't at school for your whole life just a small part of it so whatever issues you have going on at school they are only temporary too 😊
Looks a bit like a sarcoid to me, but I’d be tempted to get your vet to have a look, or take pictures and send, particularly if it gets bigger, looks worse and is somewhere that it could get irritated by tack as it looked a bit sore 🤔
Mel Bowell That’s what I thought it was too. One of my guys had a couple of these before I bought him. The previous owner said she was given a cream to put on them and they went away. Over 10 years ago though so she can’t remember the name of the cream.
Equestrian Newbies it probably was something along the lines of Imipuiquoid cream. It’s a cream used to get rid of warts/sarcoids. Best used on areas of horses that aren’t too sensitive and very effective of getting rid of the growths.
i don't think that would be a cancerous lump on storm. it could possibly just be a build up of dead skin, an ingrown hair that's been there quite a while especially if it's under under the saddle or it could possibly be a really small sarcoid, its always best to check with a vet though.
Winter in Scotland, it constantly rain's, but then again that's what it's like here in general lol so we love it if we get a little dry spell, we get to ride, especially in our outdoor arena because it's bigger, and I rode Indi for the first time last week, and for a cob she's forward, she's great to work with, love from Jill in Scotland x
That looks like a sarcoid! in England we either get them lasered off, use liverpool cream or put toothpaste on them! Sarcoids are just low-grade skin tumours - once a horse has them, they generally get them more than once
I love ur videos I have watched them for ages you have 2 gorgeous girls and amazing horses I love you guys from this bottom of my heart. Up love you guys xxxxxxxxx
I say this on every video. The kids are paying Fiona and Brandon to teach doesn’t mean you need to talk the entire lesson. Your paying them a decent amount of money and you can’t stop talking. Like I would kill my mom for doing that cause it’s distracting to the rider and the trainer. It just makes me not wanna watch
@@DayByDayVlogs peroxide actually kills healthy skin cells. It's crazy, a dog trainer told me never to use it years ago. Eventually I asked a vet and they said the same thing. I now only use vetrocyn(sp?). Since a vet told you to use it, I'll have to talk to my new vet, maybe because it has to do with open skin? I know as kids we used it on everything.
That definitely looks like a sarcoid. If it is then there’s a cream you can get for the vet and it treats the sarcoid till it is gone, but usually they don’t grow back hair due to the treatment. We’ve used it on our horses that have had sarcoids
Loved the music played while doing chores. Reminded me of the silent films back in the day. Gracie and Willow are so sweet. ❤️❤️ A truck would be great for you, Laura. Don’t panic about Storm. He’ll be fine.
looks like a sarcoid. they get really nasty if not treated right away or cared for. a horse at my old barn got on on his cheek and it started small like that, then grew and grew until it popped and it was so gross to clear up. it’s still there a year later.
With the hydrogen prioxide it's meant to foam, it's bringing all the bad stuff out. My OTTB mare had a hematoma (reason why I ended up with her. I got her for free from where I used to work) used the same stuff to get all the puss out. He should be fine and in a few days should just either come off or will come off when brushing (:
What Storm has looks like an innocent sarcoid. My Shetland mare has it. If it is, then usually vets leave it alone until it becomes bothersome. They'll use cryochirurgy to burn it away or simply cut it away. Risk of it coming back though.
Could the bump be something rubbing on him in that area? Maybe blanket or neck piece? Just a thought. Yes spray oil works well on hooves for snow. Love the second farm you looked at. Would love a tour.
My trainers are the exact same way with color matching when it comes to jumps 🤣. From my experience that looks like a sarcoid or wart type issue. The vet has a medicated cream that sometimes is really stingy on sensitive areas. But we have used pure lavender oil with great success, after a couple weeks of soaking the growths would fall right off.
Omg please keep us updated on storm omg :( it can just be sores from saddle ? Omg please dont let this be true if you can have biopsy done on the areas
Laura don’t worry too much my old lease horse got these all the time cause she was older and they come and go all the time just keep doing what your doing and don’t worry. ❤️
looks like it could be a sarcoid to me laura, keep an eye on it, in the UK we have a supplement called Sarc Ex which worked on my mare a few years back, not sure if you can get it over there though
they are a pain but as long as you keep on top of it it’s nothing to stress about, my horse has been sarcoid free for over a year now, you guys will sort it!
I would have your vet do a fine needle aspirate of the lump to see what kind it is and figure out the best option to treat it. I honestly don’t think pouring hydrogen peroxide on it is going to do anything other than irritate it.
I know a horse Who had something like a Tumor on his face (like what storm had) they had to get it surgically removed and it left a big scab on his face, and by some miracle his hair has completely grown back now and you can’t even tell it was there. That is most likely a sarcoid my young horse had one on her face!
