Colored my first face. You helped tremendously showing the need for the layering and blending to make the skin tone smoother and more realistic. Thank you so much!
Hi Sammie I'm newbie on board love the way you blend the colors thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video have a bless one creative colorful hugs to you
I'm fairly new to your channel, and I just want to tell you how much I enjoyed your videos. I enjoy listening to you as well as watching you. It's always wonderful when I find someone I can watch and learn from and I enjoy listening to them also. There's some chats that just won't do for me, so I'm glad I found you.
Thanks Sammie for sharing your knowledge and time with us. Appreciate any guidance on skin tones (truly!). Enjoying your channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful coloring.
I just got the Holbeins Sunday only used them a little so far but they are nice I'm a polychromos girl like you so far I love how you can layer with them and they seem to magically blend together seemlessly without a blender
I just wanted to ask if you ever did the video showing how you would do her shoulders and chest skin tones? I looked through all of your video's and didn't see it! There's a slight chance I could have over looked it! So I wanted to ask just to make sure! Great Job by the way! You are a natural teacher some can teach and some learn quickly a small few of us can do both. I'm not sure how quick you learn probably pretty quick but you are a natural teachers!! Thanks Have a Blessed day could you let me know about the video and if you haven't done it when and if you do please let me know I would love to finish learning this skin tone from you!! Mean while I will learn all I can from your other video's! I'm not a beginner but I'm also not an expert I guess you could say I'm mid level with a lot to learn!! Thanks Again
Hey Sammie! I just found your channel and am working my way through all your videos. I have really enjoyed them so far! This was a great skin tone tutorial...I look forward to more videos!
Great job! Love that you didn't speed through in any parts as others do, sometimes it's prudent but people can go if they don't wanna watch. I thoroughly enjoyed you football and all 😉. Also enjoyed those lines you as the your eyes haven't seen that before or a lot anyways as you always do the standardised dots or tiny retangles
Hi Sammie, I'm enjoying your channel very much. I love that you have background noise on in your videos. It's different from most other channels I watch. Love your coloring!!
Elida Rendon-garner ah thanks so much Elida 😘 It's real life having a bit of noise isn't it as it's the boyfriend / budgies / puppy hanging around as it's at home ❤️❤️im so very glad you are enjoying them - it's the whole reason I started making the videos so that others get to enjoy what I love doing 💜I'm humbled and grateful thank you x
Hi Sammie. I’m a new subscriber. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am new to adult coloring & I’ve been having an awful time with skin tones. I was getting so discouraged, but now I'm inspired again. Can't wait for part 2! ☺
Simply Nini I am so glad to hear this and this is the whole reason why I did it - I'm not a professional and I know there's many colourists out there who are above my level. But I like to share what I have worked out and enjoy and if that helps others I am happy x and thanks so much for joining me 😊
I just tried this tutorial on a picture I think it turned out pretty well for someone who just normally lays just one color for skin but I figured I might as well try this out since I wanted to watch this video anyways
Hi...I loved your tutorial. Thank you so much for taking the time to do and post it. I was hoping you could help me answer a question. I just started coloring with colored pencils and until I get the hang of it, I am really coloring along with the tutorials I am watch as it takes it easier to compare when I am done. because I am working on coloring skin now, I have watched alot of tutorials and have noticed that the color expresso is used ALOT. I have prisma olored pencils as well, but I do not ave expresso and cannot get that color at our local craft store as it os always sold out SO my question is if you did not have the color expresso for this pic what color would you have chosen, while not changed any other color of the palette? Thanks
Wonderful tutorial as always!! I can't wait to buy some better paper to print some of my pdfs off with. And these types of pictures always scream markers at me so I've been watching how you use markers for the bases. I'm hoping to add some to my collection soon too. It is a slow process for someone with no patience
Thank you for doing this I'm just beging skin and need to watch to learn so thank you for taking your time to do this and as for the trolls tell them to jog on
Thank you kindly for sharing your beautiful work and was wondering how you get the skin so smooth looking because mine is always streaked and I’ve tried very soft touch with my pencils ugh help.
Hey Sammie, I haven't watched all of your tutorial yet so if you've already mentioned what book your coloring in forgive me. I would like to color along with you. Do you plan on finishing this one in another tutorial? Fantastic job by the way.
Angel Monello heya angel 💕 it's a PDF Printable image from Myka Jelina over on her Etsy store ... i do plan on this one in stages yes - it's when my bad back allows me to sit and colour but for definite I will be doing this one in parts on video 💜
Woohoo. Thank you Sammie, I'm so excited you started a TH-cam channel. I discovered you on Instagram a few weeks ago and immediately checked for you on TH-cam. You are very talented and I'm excited I'll be able to color along with you.
Angel Monello I'm extremely humbled by you saying that thank you so much and I just love colouring and the great people in the community so this is the reason I thought 'let's try this' x
Colour & Chat with Sammie Do you think it's smooth or fairly textured? I'm thinking of trying a smoother paper for pencils... been using vellum bristol but it's very toothy.
Simple Art for Adults it's got a very slight tooth to the paper - if you look on amazon they do a colouring cardstock which is great Copic A4 Perfect Colouring Paper (50 Sheets) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007POWU34/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Nu4bAbK64NVV2 It can take pencils and copics / alcohol markers but most 160gsm / 200gsm card from the printer shop is great for pencils x
Hey Sammie. Really like this, (have been waiting since you 1st mentioned it, Lol) I find it helpful, and will definitely try these color combos. Do you by chance have color choices for darker skin? I see you've painted those nails, love that color. Also THOSE EYES! Omg. Great video. TFS oh, and that bit in the eye is actually called a "lacrimal caruncle" in case someone asks you, for a million pounds one day. 😂
KP Colors thanks hunny I'm working on dark skin at the minute as I want to do a beautiful tribal picture I have and I am trying out the colour combo - as soon as I'm happy with it I will do it again on video ❤️❤️ and thanks lovely lol I will have to remember that longggg term for the eyes 💖💜
160gsm craft card - it’s important when feeling card that it’s not slick like it’s been coated with varnish if that makes sense - just a matte smooth card
As I am “late to the party “ you may not see this but I wanted to thank you for this really helpful video! You have a new subscriber!😀
Very beautiful! Thank you for sharing!❤
I could listen & watch forever 💝🧚🏼♀️💜 All coloring, no trauma. Lovely 👧🏻

Colour & Chat with Sammie I agree with Elida. Your style of TH-cam makes one feel as if one is right there with you. It feels like home, not fake.

@@Colourandchatwithsammie Hello Sammie. On what kind of paper you print your pictures?
Hi Sammie , love your skin tutorial. What paper have you downloaded this picture on to please ? I know that paper makes a big difference.
Beverley, hello from Holland. Did you ever find out about the paper because I need to know too. Sammie hasn't replied to my message.
In future at the beginning of the tutorial, would you mind saying the number for the pencils you will use? Big help! Love your tutorials too!
