    Ohh boy, as a daily Twizy driver i can tell you much i miss a "Komfort Blinker" (the one time press - 3 times blink thing shown at 0:49)

    The Twizy DD (Dual Drive) got most body parts back again
    .
    This time It runs on all cells (30s2p each 85Ah = approx. 100V and 16kWh), th-cam.com/video/JRT8IUk1YtQ/w-d-xo.html
    Current limiters (both battery and motor) are set to "only" 60% (300A), which is close to 30kW. Finally it'll be 50kW!
    Gear ratio is currently way too long (1:3.5 instead of 1:5.0), leading to a (theoretical) max speed of 140km/h
    Motors: 2 x Revolt RV-160-PRO with 50kV, th-cam.com/video/Ot9NJjfv0DA/w-d-xo.html
    Controllers: 2 x Kelly KLS96601
    ...and 12V electrics are alive again!

    impressive build you basicly build a completely new drivetrain for the car (i think in therms of vehicle aproval en the netherlands thats the best way as its allready licenced as an electric car)
    verry curious to wat you used and how you got getting it all to work m still need to look at the other videos you made of the development

    congratulations on your way to be a whole achievement! I would really desire to have your knowledge on programming to tune my twizy as well. So far everything looks like to be a muscle twizy! Good job!

      Frankly speaking it's not that much about programming, you'll manage it as well!.
      Biggest challenges are:
      -system understanding and integration
      -leaving beta-pre-prototype heading towards series-production status ;-)

    Cool...so langsam wird´s was. RESPEKT ! Das Fahrgeräusch erinnert an eine Turbine...hört sich nach Power an.

    This is amazing! There is an inventor that is building his own battery system called Robert Murray smith and hes been trying to access the Twizy BMS for ages without luck. Maybe you both could join forces! would be amazing to see two TH-camrs do something really special

      I am not giving a lot for backward engineering. I think there are a lot others out there much better in doing so. Nice idea anyway... ;-)

    I'm looking for the next updates, impressive job! My plan is to use LG Chem 4s3p packs, 196Ah each in 96v nominal configuration. Ordering charger now. Question from charger manufacturer - which baud rate and CAN protocol? They do offer 125kbps/250kbps/500kbps baud rate? Could you help me here, please? Thank you in advance! BR Martin

    • @nextev8794
      @nextev8794  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds good, keep on going! The baud rate in such a simple application is almost irrelevant. Kelly uses e.g. 250kbps. Protocol is standardized and based on CAN2.0B and SAEJ1939. You'll get along with all of it.

    Am I to understand that the project has failed? I can't find a video with twizy ready already

    I always watch your videos and updates and tnx, did you figure out the way to control the rear motor spinning ratios while turning?

    • @nextev8794
      @nextev8794  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Surprisingly the vehicle corners pretty well without diff, the virtual connection seems to be not very stiff.
      I already have different strategies in mind how to control the motors (based on torque, based on speed, geometry of the vehicle - steering angle). Lack of urgency it's postponed...

    Da du ja Deutscher bist und mein Englisch nicht unbedingt brauchbar ist, schreibe ich hier mal in Deutsch!
    Ist es beabsichtigt den Kleinen wieder mit Kennzeichen auf der Straße zu bewegen oder ist er nur ein Versuchsträger?
    Was für eine theoretische Reichweite mit welcher Vmax. wird der Kleine haben? Welche Akkugröße ist eingebaut?
    Was wird so ein Umbau kosten? TÜV mal außen vor :)
    Ach, im Vorteil ist wer lesen kann....... 16kWh Akku

    Hello again next ev, I have a very simple question , why the Twizy sometimes stops charging before getting the 100%, sometime 98% , yesterday it stopped charging at 95%?

    Enrique

    • @nextev8794
      @nextev8794  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really don't know. Got a similar phenomenon with my secondary Twizy: sometimes it keeps on charging at 98% and never going any further. Probably because of low ambient temp? Or simply because of battery's age?

    What's that noise when you let off the accelerator fast?

    • @nextev8794
      @nextev8794  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent sense and brillant ears, like it ;-)
      It's because of the CLC (PI) settings inside the controllers which is still the old one from the test bench. The overall vehicle has naturally a much bigger time constant and requires other values for kp and ki, coming soon.
      The noise appears more dominating if vehicle is rolling and you start accelerating again.
