I've always wondered though, if you can't start a MC, MO, RC ect. without first getting the blessing of the dominant MC in your area... Then how'd the first MC's do it. And if they could do it without, then at what point did it become taboo and why.

Like, I built a gym in my home and I have a banner calling it “Hill Giant Ironworks,” and I’d like to put “Hill Giant Riding” on my back. Got a buddy who wants to design the patch. Unfortunately I'm 59 and I have congested heart failure so they said they're very active club and with those two things working against me that wouldn't be good. What do suggest try another club? H O G in the UK got permission to put that top patch on from the MCs.
All club patches for MCC RC ect need approval from the local MC
4" is usually the maximum size for a round patch with your MCC RC club name.
What about a patch that’s just a big picture with no top or bottom rocker? Like my vest I ride in is a blue Levi’s jacket with the sleeves chopped off and has this big Embroidered patch of a monster holding a woman I sewed on it then a old Harley Davison patch above it and another patch on the bottom that’s just a straight chain link. It kinda looks like a 3 piece set up but it’s just 2 pictures and a Harley logo lol you think a club or the patch police would get upset about that? Haven’t had anyone say anything yet but I’m curious
Nah you should be good with no rockers. Might get a few looks just guys seeing if it's a mc patch, but that's about it.

Even as an independent I designed my one piece patch, and went through the process to get the blessing before I had it stitched on my cut. It was also stitched by the clubs patch lady and stitched on my cut by a club member. It's all about respect, and earning your patches. Not what looks cool.

@@strongbrave my patch is who I am. Believe me there is no toy here. I'm also 3%, and I do my work as such. My patch is also my logo for my TH-cam channel. But for me. And I can only speak for me. I have went through the process, and as such with it's blessing it is recognized in my state and the states of the 1% club that gave me the blessing. Don't be upset I did things right as a independent, and know the protocol for the lifestyle I love, and live.

I mean, that's a little bit weird if we talk about what ever Patch without "MC" in it. What do you do if you travel to another State? Call before every MC there and ask if that would be ok if you would send them a picture and to call you back after they decided about it?
"Yeah but you know, the MC X in State Y said it would ok!" - Idk mate, if somebody wanna mess with you, he does it anyways if he thinks he's in the position to do so. And without the "MC" stuff, no MC will really care. Why should they? And if, then they don't care anyway who "blessed" you, maybe then they especially wanna pick on you because they have beef with the people who "blessed" you.
Same goes for certain other Patches, I mean "Filthy few" or alike is maybe not something you should put on your Cut just for the sh!t & giggles. Yet if you design your own Patch, who should care if there's no Bottom Rocker & MC on it?

I have seen many MC people make them selves look bad in public places. What do they do go back to the club house and scold each other. I remember when they tried to recruit me, they went about it the wrong way. They disrespected them selves as a patch holder. I used reverse psychology on the old veteran MC and called him out on several lies he told me. He also did admit that he lied to me. This was the vice president of the club. If that is the best this club can do for a vice president I would hate to meet the other members. Could you imagine if I was on there team and in a courtroom setting how fast they could drag me down with themselves.
I've said it before and I will say it over and over. I appreciate you and your honesty. I have seen on some websites where you can buy full patch sets. They look somewhat real, but always have something "wrong" with them. For those of us that have earned the patch, it is a smack in the face, a kick in the balls. I don't feel bad for the posers that do this and get hurt. This is life for some of us and we protect it at all costs!! Thanks again for your honesty and transparency, I appreciate you homie!!

So I have a question my father made patches of a motorcycle club he wanted to open now that he passed away I would like to put those patches on a cut and start that motorcycle club up but when I'm not understanding is you saying people Rock fake colors and fake patches but if you have them custom-made and pick your own colors out is that okay to wear that on your back or do I need the blessing from the surrounding MCs in my area
Always get a blessing. Just sucures no bs, or drama. Then you can ride without problems.

What about people that aren't in the motor cycle world at all ,I've seen bands and rock/punk clubs that design logos to look like three patch set up short of having mc on them?
Guys in clubs pretty much ignore that, but some will ask you about it too. Most bands that do stupid stuff like a three piece patch on a shirt are normally connected to a mc or support. Like BLS and others. Should keep that in mind.
Mad viking beard club does this, and although I love their products, I've mentioned it to them that it might be smart to try and steer away that particular design theme.

i ran into a group of guys well kids,that did this. they don't wear a 3 piece just a one piece. they aren't an mc or rc just claim to be a "brotherhood" yet wear officer tabs. and they have not followed protocol on starting the group. they have been doing this for about a year before i ran into them.....i didn't try to intimidate them or anything, didnt have to it just naturally happens lmao. but told them they are playing a dangerous game in the way they are conducting themselves and wearing those patches (bought off Amazon) was a bad idea.
Yeah these kids don't understand this life, and we're never educated unfortunately. Hopefully they do the right thing and try to get a blessing now that they have been seen. Straighten their stuff out. It's really not that hard.

I got a question for you. So i am a combat veteran who served 3 tours overseas. When i came back to the states, i felt the need to be a cop for all of the right reasons (to help those who cant help themselves). Now that i absolutely hate my job and been trying to get another job, would any "legitimate" accept me for the man i am, or will they only see the job i chose? I know im going to get the same ol "fuck the cops" and "if you ever were a cop, no" answers. i would like to hear a detailed answer as to why a combat veteran gets passed on just for job he chose at a time where he truly wanted to do good from the other of the fence and make the needed changes to the system. This is actually a good question. Maybe a video is needed here. But, unfortunately, most clubs if not all are only going to look at you as you were a cop. But, these days, it's very possible to find a home rather then the old days I think. Stay tuned, cause I kinda want to touch on this in a video.

Patches are earned. I’m not in an MC. But I have the knowledge of the basics. I just rock out plain black leather jacket. No patches!! I keep it simple. I don’t patch nothing because I don’t want attention. Only way I’ll rock out with a patch is if I join a real MC.
If you want to play it super safe, sure. But you don't gotta be scared to do any patches. Just don't pretend to be something your not.

I just ordered my 3 piece 1%er patch set on Etsey. I can wait till the fellas see me crusing up and down the strip with their copyrighted Emblem on my back. I come from the slums, Government housing, homeless shelters; raised by drug addicts, dealers, bikers, & thugs. I am literally the only one who hit the drugs, overcame them & came out on the other side not attached in any way.
I got off sports bikes & been on cruisers for 3 years. I've always had a vest/jacket, but never really patched up. I made my own 3 piece, "Slumerican" top rocker, "Tattered flag" center & "It is what it is" bottom.
Slumerican essentially speaks for itself, Tattered flag is my view on the current state of the country, & "it is what it is" was my mothers motto who passed too young at 53 5 years ago.
This whole "part of something" or MC shit, all have real meaning; I know that. I know that MC members likely had equally difficult lives and want to be part of something, I respect it.
My vest is me. I represent myself in wearing it. I'm dropping a SOLO patch on it to hopefully avoid conflict.
To avoid conflict you shouldn't have a three piece anything on your vest. If your not in a club don't portray you are. My brother wears a slumamerican rocker, think it's top but three piece stuff. To me it's disrespectful wearing a three piece patch and not being in a club.

Anytime you put a patch on on your back you become a target, whether it's from other clubs, leo or citizens, dosen't matter if it's an MC, RC, holy roller or whatever. The only reason someone would fly a fake patch, in my opinion, is because either A) They're ignorant of the culture and don't understand the consequences of their actions, or B) They're idiots with no respect and deserve pretty much whatever happens

Every time I've asked about back patches I was told "back patches are fine, just make them one piece, no MC, no diamond, and no territory". Example, I had a Betsy Ross flag back patch, no lettering.

Patch Police are like High School Hall Monitors, they are the Snitches of the MC world, I'm No longer in the Club World per say, but i was once Founder and 1st SA of a Support Club for 81, and we Earned our Patches, 1st a 5 inch front on a slickback, then a 10 inch single patch, then finally the 3 piece with a city rocker, county and finally state with the guidance and permission of the parent club, Job took me away from the area and i turned in my colors, and found a club where i moved, prospected earned my colors, Again Job forced a Move and a club came to me and asked me to start a support club, and i did, but the drama and bullshit got too much, tried a 99% club for almost a decade and same as most clubs drama, finally went back to HOG and the AMA Retreads, but i have a few cuts that are within borderline protocol but some might take offence to, but they are NOT in any way a violation of any copyright of any club, but this OLD BIKER is willing to Defend my right to wear what i want, and my 9mm and my back up 380 say's whomever wants to take them they better be worth dying for. And there are some REAL Clubs out there that are just buy into clubs, like Unknown Dead look them up
