Everyone can rave about whatever they want, but the truth is that the reaction to MEOVV's MV is similar to what I saw from many people after watching the last part of "Game of Thrones"
The first listen I thought it was meh, honestly. But even so, I know it's the kind of song that grows on you when you learn the lyrics and start to vibe with it. Honestly, those songs are good because you don't get sick of them so soon. But I have a problem with it which is: it's a debut... I think these songs are good because they bring something new to the table, because mids a tracklist it changes the tone and stuff. But I think for a debut, they should have chosen a song that grew and a song that showed their own colors, because honestly, they all sounded the same to me, I can't even guess their positions. They are talented you can tell, but the debut is supposed to be big and obvious right away, not something that grows on you. Anyway. I honestly want to be their fan, cause I've been a fan of YG girl groups ever since 2ne1, then BP, Baemon, and I know eventually I'll also become a fan of Meovv , because they just have that charm, but I didn't like this for a debut.

I think the best sounding voices is Sooin , Gawon and Anna. Even tho they put a lot of stress on visuals the stylists haven’t even given each girl a specific look or haircolour/style in their DEBUT.which is odd. Great production, nothing super fancy but thats exactly what i want from groups sometimes. This aint no YG or SM production, its f*cking Teddy yall, and you can definitely hear it! Clean hiphop beat, simple chorus, great choreo and insane visuals, everything i need. Hopefully Teddy will stick to this sound. Surely this aint for everyone and thats fine.

This song is such a grower. At first I said it's just another Teddy comp. but this is a good one. Their darker vocal tone really carried the song for me then the chants reminds me of Bigbang type chants.
My understanding of The Black Label is, it used to be part of YG but I believe it is now on it's own. Teddy, the producer of Blackpink's music, is running the Black Label. That is most likely why you'll hear similarities in the beat drops, music, etc. and girl crush concept.

You can also agree with me or disagree🙈✨ First off is their lower tone in vocals!!!! Ahhhhh I really like low tone vocals especially in music since it literally grab my attention right away when they sing especially those 2 members, in which I think are Anna and Gawon?!!🙌 (I hope I get them correctly tho😅) The only members I know are Ella (since BP era) and Narin (distinct face out of all of them, her appearance especially her face screams mature woman, even though they're quite young, I'm sorry!) 2nd is the rap! I think since TBL is a freshly independent company, but still a subsidiary by YG, the rap part feel short to me😢 I mean, we don't get enough of the rap parts and that's why it felt underwhelming 😶 But I still find it good due to low tone of rapper/s👍🏻 3rd is the dance!! I think this is groups are focusing more in the aspect of dance performance rather than vocal one (partially analyze since it's still only one song).💯 Among the girls that was been produce under Teddy, this group is the most heavily choreograph among those 2. Which I think is pleasing to see tho for 5th generation girl groups. I agree with most opinions but i like the verses more than chorus which isn't new to me it happens with most yg/tbl songs . best thing about this group to me is how mature they look and sound, deep voices and darker color styling etc , i think they are closer to be bp little sisters than bm 😅, I can definitely see meovv as brand ambassadors and models in the near future .

Not finding any best vocal so far in a group. TBL need to show their talent rather than visual in predebut or teaser. Unlike babymonster where each of member show talent first over visual
U cant find. But nonetheless they all have good vocal capability. To me they are all decent. I dont need to expect a new group especially the need to associates it to some other group with somewhat same background to sound as crazy as that other group.

@@dominik872 It's called the halo effect. Hyping "Teddy's new group" is not different from movie previews that announces "A Christopher Nolan film" or "from the director of Tenet". And since YG has never failed a girl group, "YG's next girl group" will always catch attention until one of them completely flops.
To me, they all have decent vocal capability, from what i hear, at least theres no blackhole that made me think, "oh shes the visual only". Teddy got the main ingredients good, he only needs to mix it good with his producing.
Would be interesting one day they collaborate with blackpink or baby monster since they are under the same parent company yg entertainment even though they are a subsidy agency the black label

YG himself also owns 20% of the black label stock. so it doesn't matter if Teddy owns majority as the main holder. YG has some say in it. At the end of the day they are still related to YG entertainment even if they go independent. The staff that works in the black label has a contract with YG also.
i think many people feel underwhelmed by this because it's yet another safe yg/bll release. it doesn't show off crazy vocals, crazy rap, or choreo. the mv itself isn't awe-inducing, the chorus is another empty chorus, and the final third of the song is yet another dance break outro with no vocals. it's the same thing we saw with batter up (although they showed off more rap there). that's not to compare the two groups, rather show how the SAME formula is used time and time again by yg/bll. people were hopeful that with blacklabel being separate from yg and us entering a new generation that maybe just maybe they would play it riskier and try something DIFFERENT, but they just don't and won't. while i find the song listenable and am interested in the group, i just really want more for this group because i think they deserve better. baemon were able to show their vocal and rap skills more in their comebacks so i really hope meovv are able to too with their future releases.

For MEOVV, I understand why they try to do approach this type of style and concept they have since they literally from the producer of BP, the fifth member, TEDDY🙈 and TBL is home of those luxurious, black vibe aura with the exception of SOMI since that girl are literally experimenting or it's just her taste of music🤔 And MEOVV have those BP vibe and aura from the their music video so I kinda get that they're close to be BP's sister👍🏻 But there music is showing different from BP and 2NE1 but with TEDDY's taste & formula so that's why we get to see those hard-hitting beats and instruments especially during dance break!!
I just wish that it was longer tho. Since I think the beats and instrumentals in the background carried the music which might be a little underwhelming for some, including me!! I NEED TO HEAR THEIR VOCALS, LONGER RAPS WITH THE DANCE TOO!! I need it and also to tone down a little bit those background music, beats, and instrumentals.

Not finding any best vocal so far in a group. TBL need to show their talent rather than visual in predebut or teaser. Unlike babymonster where each of member show talent first over visual
U cant find. But nonetheless they all have good vocal capability. To me they are all decent. I dont need to expect a new group especially the need to associates it to some other group with somewhat same background to sound as crazy as that other group.

To me, they all have decent vocal capability, from what i hear, at least theres no blackhole that made me think, "oh shes the visual only". Teddy got the main ingredients good, he only needs to mix it good with his producing.

YG himself also owns 20% of the black label stock. so it doesn't matter if Teddy owns majority as the main holder. YG has some say in it. At the end of the day they are still related to YG entertainment even if they go independent. The staff that works in the black label has a contract with YG also.

i think many people feel underwhelmed by this because it's yet another safe yg/bll release. it doesn't show off crazy vocals, crazy rap, or choreo. the mv itself isn't awe-inducing, the chorus is another empty chorus, and the final third of the song is yet another dance break outro with no vocals. it's the same thing we saw with batter up (although they showed off more rap there). that's not to compare the two groups, rather show how the SAME formula is used time and time again by yg/bll. people were hopeful that with blacklabel being separate from yg and us entering a new generation that maybe just maybe they would play it riskier and try something DIFFERENT, but they just don't and won't. while i find the song listenable and am interested in the group, i just really want more for this group because i think they deserve better. baemon were able to show their vocal and rap skills more in their comebacks so i really hope meovv are able to too with their future releases.
