Hey thanks again for watching my friend! As far as the A320 FMS specifically the term VIA refers to an approach procedure. So for example, entering the ILS approach for a given runway you have options. You can put it in with no transition (straight in approach), or build it with an IAF Initial Approach Fix Via. So the ILS approach VIA XYZ Vor, ZZZZZ Fix, or ABC NDB perhaps. You will also see the term TRANS when loading a SID or a STAR. Pretty simple, which "off shoot" do you want to enter off the main "body" of the departure/approach proceedure. All of this not to be confused with the ATC clearance phrase, "Climb VIA/ Descend VIA" XYZ RNAV SID/STAR. Does this all make sense Saurabh? Hope you are staying healthy my friend! Mike
