This video demonstrates how to straight lace your parade boot. By Capt Tim Townley Kiwi Parade Gloss - amzn.to/2y0VMmw Replacement Laces - amzn.to/2y2eiej
As a first year AC this was probably the mist helpful video ever. Parade boot lacing was always and issue for my brother, but I'm happy to have found this video
Thank you Sir :D I am not in the cadets, but I love straight lacing my boots. I just got a new pair, and thought to look it up to see. I like your method way better than the method I had been using for the past 20 years! Thank you again for sharing.
Thank you Sir, I’m a level one in 151 Chadburn Squadron, and this helped a lot, I had no idea how to lace up my boots (I honestly forgot) and this helped a lot!
Thanks sir! I'm in Air Cadets and I graduated from my Recruit course. I got my uniform but didn't know how to tie my boot like this and you helped! Again thank you! :)
Hi Sir, im a year one cadet AC in 121 Red Arrows and this video really helped me put for my first CO's parade and ACR is coming up so now i know how to strait lace my boots
Thank you for this. I'm not in the military but it looks great with Doc Martens. I modified it a bit for a more casual look, I stop when I have 4 holes done straight, then just pull the laces through to the next hole without skipping (criss cross) and tie a normal knot (with a bow). So 5 out of 8 holes are used. Makes it easy to get in/out the shoe quickly, looks clean, stylish.
THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR! I just got new parade boots for my sea cadets, and wasn't sure how to straight lace them, but with your help, I was able to achieve this goal. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Thank's sir. This helped me a lot and i hope it's the same way with other Air Cadets. i had to polish the tongue and the eyes and this helped me out a lot, thank's again.
As a Military Police Officer in the Army - back in the mid 1970's we used WHITE LACES & a Ladder lace when wearing our dress uniform. With Jump Boots I must say we looked pretty dam SHARP. It was a pain at first but once I got the hang of it I was sold. However I wasn't to cool with the green ascot we had to wear but i got use to that to.
I'm in the army cadets and I have my first ever "major's parade" (I don't know if it's the right translation) and this video was such a great help !!! I don't understand anything in the drawing they sent me😭
I’m a recruit at 2316 The Royal Westminster Regiment. I’ve just received my C1 and Parade boots. Just checking to make sure because I am unsure, we thread the laces in from the inside right? I do not know how to wear my uniforms yet. Thank you.
lol. very funny to watch a guy teaching how to lace boots the way i invented it ages ago. remember to ALWAYS go inside outwards at top hole to avoid use scissors to get your shoe off
I've been straight lacing boots and dress shoes since I learned from this ex-airborne (they were disbanded) guy i met when i was working at a fish processing plant.
Alright, so I wear 12 eyelet, bone-dry leather boots. Would I have to replace them every time I put them on with this method? Also, I use paracord instead of laces. Does that affect the lacing procedure at all?
I totally brain farted how to do this. Hahha its been awhile since i laced up thanks i only need the first 30 seconds of the video but still very helpfull
Nice one ! I hadn't thought, the "Balkenschnürung" (as it's called in Germany) is used by soldiers. I've just seen this used by my Skinhead comrades and some Punks. But i know another way to do this.
Thank you sir. Even though I'm in Air Cadets this still helped. I have one question though. When you are tying the knot are you saying your right or our right?
+Tim Townley thank you sir, my boots are laced and tied. Now I just need to shine them. I've heard from some people say that you should spit on your boots, I've heard from others that it eats away at the leather. Is that true?
+GamingCats Use clean water when polishing your boots. It will give you the best results over time. A spit polish is only good in a pinch when no water is available which is never really the case. Good luck.
As a first year AC this was probably the mist helpful video ever. Parade boot lacing was always and issue for my brother, but I'm happy to have found this video
Pen_On Paper_Inkspill that's awesome. I'm glad it was helpful to you. Best of luck.

Sounds like I can use this technique in my motorcycle boots, as I am afraid of loose laces going arround and about while riding.
Very good
makes it look so easy
Thank you sir, I'm a RCT in navy cadets

Please help me. My boots only got 6 eye. Please help.
thanks
Thanks
Nice one !
I hadn't thought, the "Balkenschnürung" (as it's called in Germany) is used by soldiers.
I've just seen this used by my Skinhead comrades and some Punks.
But i know another way to do this.
Basically anyone wearing dr martens does their laces this way. think the knot is weird and useless tho.
Thank you sir. Even though I'm in Air Cadets this still helped. I have one question though. When you are tying the knot are you saying your right or our right?
You tie your reef knot right over left, left over right. As long as they are done opposite each other, then you will get a reef know.
Good luck.
Both work
Thank youuuuuuuu
Thanks sir I’m nepal police
Can someone link me a website where I can purchase these?
could this work on a 11 eyehole boot?
