- Xindian Shizaitoushan is No. 20 top 100 small mountains (a.k.a.Xiaobaiyue). There is a first order triangulation station at the peak. Because the shape of the mountain resembles a lying lion, it was named Shizitou Mountain.
The vertical cliff ladder is the most distinctive path of this mountain. There are also rich cultural relics here, such as the Aiyong Line of the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese colonial rule Fangfan Stele(invasion monument), Shiliao Ruins, Big Bandit Cave, Small Bandit Cave, and Guanyin Cave.

Conclusion first. You don’t have to take the Big O route that we took. We have some suggestions at the end of the video. You can watch the video to know more about this mountain, and then decide how to enjoy it.
Please consider the following reasons for your visit:
1. Path aspect
Recommend route to this mountain is go left first and return from the right.
To challenge the cliff ladder first. Although the three sections of the cliff ladder are not long, the nearly vertical steepness is very exposed and stressed
The right way back is via the Shiyao Ancient Path. There is no scenary along the ancient road, the roadbed is broken, and it feels like exploring.
It's not easy either way
2.Trail maintenance
The cultural relics and wooden plank roads in the area of Big Bandit Cave and Guanyin Cave are in dilapidated condition and are in disrepair.
3. Route guidance
Important road signs are often missing, and the reception in the mountains is weak, so you need to prepare an offline map.
For those who are interested in going, the transportation methods are as follows:
1) Bus: Take the Tutan Holiday Line and Tutanli Line from Xindian District Office to reach the trailhead. The bus stop is right in front of the trailhead.
2) By car: There is a small open space next to the bus stop at the trailhead where two to three cars can be parked.
Note: There is no restroom on the trail. Take the road from the trailhead to the bottom of the mountain. You can borrow the restroom of Beishan Longshan Temple (thank you Beishan Longshan Temple)

以前，獅仔頭山不少路段都設有木棧道，很好走的。
但新北市政府說和廠商有工程糾紛，木棧道不是拆了，就是壞了擺爛下去，但都快拖近10年了，還在擺爛中。
真的🤣連路標都爛了
希望相關單位可以快快處理
或者用比較自然好維護的方式改善

看到這座山，不禁想到我剛爬山的日子，那時候還不會用離線地圖，騎車去爬還遇到 下雨，然後迷路迷很久，找路找了5小時才走回登山口；之後回程又被兩隻突然衝出來的大狗嚇到摔車，內傷了3個月😢

現在的氣象預報也比較準確
可以參考的資料也多些

@@Hikercolago 謝謝，不過那都過去了，距離那時候已經過了2年，離線地圖已經會用很久了，目前百岳只爬15座…小百岳72座，預計月底要去爬屏東的小百岳，希望是好天氣😆
