\over 60% of JazzMentlists perform on keyboards and not piano. So I thought I'd produce a lesson on a popular keyboard cover tune called "just the two of us". I do solo near the end of this video, so this will give you some idea of how fun this tune is to play. Don't forget to comment or give it a thumbs up before you leave. And thanks for watching!!! 🙂 Paul Tobey
I absolutely love this. Sunday afternoon here in London and what better tune to start practising on. Thank you Paul! Please keep up the great work. Love your channel.
You’ve cleared up a lot on syncopation for me. The 16th notes are the ones that get me when I attempt to site read as well. Great tutorial of a classic song!
Woke up, made a cup o' coffee, saw this pop up in my feed! I am not 'trained' to play piano but had an Irish Trad musician teach my "Ear" when i was a teen. Makes learning a lot harder but also easier when grabbing single verses or bars. This is the kind of breakdown I WISH i had gotten when learning piano. Actually going through the chord structure and playing through it live and the whole song is just SO SO helpful for playing as I watch. (AND THE SHEET MUSIC IS FREE?!?! in THIS economy?!?!) THANK YOU SO MUCH

It’s hard to imagine that that album was released 43 years ago. RIP Grover Washington Jr.❤
