Thank you Corinne! I have been using my Cricut for over 2 years now and while watching your video I just had an "AH HA" moment. I NEVER thought to do print then cut on cardstock! My brain automatically goes to vinyl or HTV.
Do we have to print from the actual cricut machine? Or we can print separately then cut in the machine? Just asking for those people who doesn’t have printer at home lol😅
Hands down super helpful, honestly I haven’t seen one with better straight forward instructions. Question on the paper you printed on you where can I order or purchase from ?
I just got my first cricut machine (explore air 2), and I'm searching through so many tutorials to learn how to use it. This video is pretty great and to the point which I prefer. My question is, can all this be done on my phone using the design space app? TIA
When you say you're saving the LOL as complex because you want a nice clean look... What exactly does that mean? I guess... What's the difference between the 3 options of simple, moderate, and complex? I'm so, so new to cricut
The complex for whatever reason allows for the image to have cleaner edges and lines. It’s not an SVG it is a png which is a different ball game with design space. If you save as simple a lot of times the colors get muddled or the edges get jagged
@@CorinneBlackstone OMG thank you so much I might of sound dumb! Lol but I’m totally new at this I got my Cricut for Christmas and barely got a chance to completely use it and want to do a couple things for my son’s birthday party! (Dinosaurs)
I love this video.. I’m new to this, I’m currently using my phone till my iPad arrives. Is there a way to duplicate 50 at a time or will I need to duplicate one at a time? Also am I able to save to pdf from my design center and print at my local print shop? Thanks!
You can tell the cricut how many you want it to make on the make it screen under project copies. And as for saving it to print elsewhere you have to print from cricut design space for it to print the registration square so the cricut can cut it out.
Hello! I am desperately needing help. I know this was three years ago but do you still recommend this Printer? If so the Link you provided is a bit of a Different Model pls help!
This is done with any inkjet printer and all cricuts except the joy. If your machine is not cutting correctly for print then cut you need to calibrate the machine
@@CorinneBlackstone I have a high speed HP for heavy office work Blk/white. I will buy an inkjet for the color copies. What I want to know is does cricut just read the print and know where to cut?
@@CorinneBlackstone ok. So once you printed them you just inserted it in the cricut and it cuts them out? Lol just wondering if i needed to do anything in design space
These images are solid shapes so they do not need to be flattened. The reason your design cut out in a bunch of pieces was likely due to transparent areas in the design so that makes it not a solid shape. you would need to flatten yours to a shape
@@CorinneBlackstone 😮 omg really? I was watching a tutorial of using the cricut for fondant letting and such! Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention!
That was very informative! Printer question.. Do you need different colors of inks or just the basic ones? What if the picture you chose has purple on it but you don’t have purple in your ink, what will happen?
I loved this video. Thank you so much. For some reason, my items cut everything out, including headbands, eyes, colars, etc. I was so frustrated and am trying to figure out where I went wrong
Thanks for such a helpful video. My first time making toppers and the tips of how to save images from google and upload them was awesome! My question although is more about how to prevent the eyes from getting cut out. I used a similar Spider-Man image as to the one you showed but the white eyes were cutout by my Cricut. If you could offer solutions how to avoid this I’d be grateful. Thanks
I love this, I'm a cake decorator and am ordering a Cricut this week for custom toppers and this is the best tutorial I've seen thus far

The mat bending tip worked really well for me. Thanks!
Easiest tutorial ever! Thank you. I’m still learning with my cricut and just from this I’ve learned a lot.
Thank you for showing the printing part and the information on your printer and the kinds of paper you use! Very helpful!
Thank you for all of detail and especially sharing the type of paper you used to make the cupcake toppers.

Its really awesome.. the wag you described is really gud😘
Hello, where did you get your printer? And do you have to have a 3022 to print it on card stock or is any kind good?
To make a offset easily go to pixlr it’s super easy that way you can make toppers stickers or whatever else you want
I have several videos showing how to do offsets :)
How would you print out toppers using cardstock with printer and cricut maker inside of a circle ?
Create a white circle and flatten your image to the circle
love it thanks for sharing

You need to save your image as a pdf from the print screen then you can print it from somewhere else
You really explain this so easily! Thank you x
Thank you
Thanks for your video!!
Can it be done with Cricut Joy?
I just got one, so I don't know much about it
No. The joy cannot do print then cut

Do you just use regular card stock for printer? Or does it have to be like a specific kind/brand?
just regular cardstock
Can you use the mirror cut or do you have to flip? Thank you.
You can use mirror but remember it mirrors the whole project. Thats why i flip one copy of them

It’s just from Michael’s

So many things we can make having a Cricut that we don’t think of thanks Corinne! 😍
yes!! this is what I just said after watching this video jajaj so easy she explained it so good!
Hello, I would like to ask, card stock paper and art paper is the same thing?
Did u put something on them to make them look 3d or there just paper
No it’s just two pieces of paper glued with a stick in between :)

I like recollections from Michaels. Usually a great price and good quality
Adorable

I use a canon pixma mg3022

Hi did you flatten the image in design space before printing and cutting because last time I did print and cut it cut all the individual pieces
These images are solid shapes so they do not need to be flattened. The reason your design cut out in a bunch of pieces was likely due to transparent areas in the design so that makes it not a solid shape. you would need to flatten yours to a shape
Aahh I see. Totally understand now. Thank you for your help 😇
Great tutorial! Thank you

Do you think this tutorial supports edible paper since you used a thicker card stock for the print outs?
You cannot and should not cut anything edible on your cricut machine. The oils used within the machine are toxic.

All printers have 4 basic colors. Yellow magenta cyan and black. Those colors make up every color of the rainbow.
The cutter is sooo cool. I need one. Great video!!! Saved video! But I’m going to have to cut mine by hand 😏
Be sure you are subscribed. When I hit 50K I am giving away a cricut explorer air 2!! :) might be the chance to get your own!

You can use an iPad for this
What exact card stock do you use, seems like when I find card stock it ends up being regular paper :(
This was recollections brand 65 lb comes in the 50 pack
Does it fold or crease the card stock paper !?
Im not really sure what youre asking. This is cardstock paper
Thank you 😊 this was so helpful
Very nice video; however I am unable to upload from google to my design space. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing this video
my best guess without details is either you are trying to upload an unsupported file type or you somehow have them in zipped folders.
can you print the card stock on one computer and cut with the cricut on another computer ?
You have to print it from design space but you can print from any computer as long as you use design space to print it.
Corinne Blackstone thank you so much you video was so helpful!
What type of paper u used to print the topper
It’s just 100lb cardstock
