Your primary goal is to put out more damage than you receive. Heal bots are worse in OW2 than DPS supports. Tanks and DPS need to adjust and not freak out if they are not at constant full health.

(well in reality Moira is all about maximizing your dmg while healing your team enough so they dont die, you can top up after a fight is won, but you really need to know when you want to throw dmg orbs and help burst a target and when to prio healing etc. Healing after all is limited by how dmg your opponent does, your dmg isn't, so dmg has a way higher ceiling for optimization and overhealing is also a thing that just wastes your existence..)

Beyond that, always phase in and out in conjunction with your jumps so the enemy has a hard time focusing on you. Occasionally throw in a heal or a heal orb to complete the package.
I usually start off as heals on Moira, but if it gets slow I dive in the backline and kill off their support and dps to dive back and continue to heal. I almost always use damage orbs to regain my heals unless the team needs a ton of heals at some point I go with heal orbs.

I got accused of being a dps moira yesterday because i had most the damage on my team(about 7000). But i also had the most heals of the whole game(about 17.000). dps players dont undetstand theyre the problem when the support is doing more damage then them.

as a moira main a good moira need to do something i call a 50/50 if your team is fine you can dps support them but if your team is not good at all you left click that what i call a 50/50 i usually do 7k damage for 16k-18k heal a 50/50 Fun fact a full (if you play really well) moira dps no heal (did the test before ow2 in ow1 in a 6 stack) can reach 19k damage

I'm a DPS Moira. All the blames come to me if team loses even with my best stats (such as on average 40+ elims, top dmg 16-25k+ dmg nearly 0 death or sometimes even healed more than other healer). They even threaten to report me with the my best stats. In my honest opinion, DPS Moira is good if a DPS Moira is willing to come back and heal more than DPS when the team is keep dying (which I do). You harass the opposing team and make the last blow, you have to constantly disperse the opposing team with the orb. Moira's advantage is that she can occupy the opposing team's healers. If you are going to play Moira dps, you should not waste time with the opposing team's tank. Throughout the video I watched, you sent your orb at the wrong times and towards the end of the video, you didn't send your orb when you should have. You don't need a guide to play Moira, you just need to understand your opponent's position and location. If you had sent a healer or damage orb in the room, Lucio would probably still be alive with a very small difference and you could probably kill the leader easily.

im one of those good moiras, i only dps when my other support can heal good, my team is topped up, and my other support is near the team.
