Hi everyone, thanks for being patient while I took some time to work out some personal stuff. Back on track! "Labyrinth Zone" is a fun and lighthearted song that helped balance out the stress of one of Sonic the Hedgehog's most stressful levels. When the titular hero goes underwater, we're all a little bit thankful that the music is so cheery. I wanted to play that up with my expansion, which didn't deviate too far from the original. I really appreciate that, Choob. The expansions are always tricky, because I never want to disrespect the source material. It''s always me imagining what the original composers might have done if they had more time/better hardware.
The legend returns!! Down in the Labyrinth Zone, one of my most favorite songs for one of my (and every other Sonic fan's) least favorite Sonic levels- I can't believe this was originally going to be Stage 2! Anyways, let's get on with this I hear you kept the song's consistency for this expansion! The original backing track is maintained throughout the entire song, making it feel like a truly natural progression from the original~ 0:15 I really like that you repeated the main melody at the beginning instead of just letting the "tail end" play immediately 1:05 The crystalline instrument here reminds me a bit of S3&K's Hidden Palace, which honestly has a pretty similar vibe to the Labyrinth minus the water - perhaps that's what you were going for? Or maybe you were trying to make a more "aquatic" sound to represent the waterq 🌊 It adds such a magical flair to simple song, and it only gets better as the song continues! It definitely reminds me of the wonder and beauty of the ancient passageways beneath South Island, allowing us to recognize that this is a remnant of an early advanced civilization; it's not just a deathtrap... it's history - and now I need Labyrinth Lore, LOL 1:40 The synth-crystal synchronization crescendo just sounded oh so good~ I am very pleased this was included - it's probably my favorite section of the song 1:55 Just having some fun with the backing track and instrumentation here~ 2:15 The magic returns~ It truly has such an ethereal sound! 2:55 This last part sounds like Sonic just escaped the watery depths of the Labyrinth, and there's only smooth sailing (and some spike traps) from here~ You could've been tempted to turn this into a very menacing song based on the emotions elicited from this Zone, but instead you created an expansion that highlighted the beauty and wonder of this Zone~ Thank you so much for creating this! I hope you've veen doing well

Hey right now the Final Crash editions are indeed finalized and ready to go. They are being added to SOR-X for subsequent releases still, I think.
