Hey sailing fam! We're still out here loving every nautical minute! Life took a tactical turn: we traded editing for charters in the stunning British Virgin Islands. Your support means the world; we'll catch up soon! Check is out at www.sailingsisu.com
Thank you so much! Great news, folks! We're still anchored in love and sailing high! However, our bank account has sprung a leak, so we're throwing Sisu a lifeline by offering her for charter in the BVI! Come sail away with us...and help us keep our love afloat.
The Thorny Path seems the easy route, but I would only recommend it if you can get a downwind wind from Bahamas past Turks Caicos.... otherwise you will get hammered by cross swells and acceleration zones as you could see in my earlier videos. We have done the Thorny Path East to West or PR to Bahamas a few times and it was just uncomfortable, but nothing breaking. The sails barely kept flying in those confused sea states, but if the wind is above 10kts, then it does push you westwards nicely. So, I guess one can do the same west to east if you have wind from behind?
Bliksem - thought something awful had happened .....I even put a post up on the last video asking?🤷♂ Anyway, its good that yr both OK. Goed gaan julle twee!👍
Well, a lot of things happened. The awful part is that we need money to continue. The struggle part is that we lost the washing machine, water maker, AIS, water pumps, alternator issues, etc. in a span of a few months, which just drained funds and time. The good news is that we are now finally registered in BVI to do charters :-)

Yes, we are still sailing and loving every moment of it! However, we looked at our budget to circumnavigate and had to make a choice. Either push our TH-cam viewers onto Patreon or start working again. Not that video making is not hard work, but there are more efficient ways of using the same amount of time to earn more money. So, we are now registered as a charter in British Virgin Islands (BVI) and are doing full time chartering. Check is out at www.sailingsisu.com
