【Synopsis】Born into a scholarly family, Huang Yimei grew up carefully sheltered, displaying artistic talent from a young age. That was a very sensitive part of the drama. Clearly Su hasnot gotten over the rape and probably never will it has left a huge wound in her life even more know that her mom owned up. it was a traumatized moment that keeps coming back over and over again. i think she did the right thing seeking counselling from which wont cure but helps to heal the wounds.
They pointed out a way Su to grieve guided by a counselor or professional as her wound is too deep.

I totally agree with you sd0088 its appalling thing to do. However, i have heard of similar cases like that are something not unusual in china due to the culture of the country where mothers and daughters are manipulated and threatened if goes in the open. Bear in mind that happens not only in china but all over the world.

I really like this show but I don’t understand how come a mother can sacrifice your own daughter for the sake of food c’ommon you’re not in disability you’re able to go to work so you know that a stepfather doing something wrong to your kids and you let that go because you need food to survive what kind the mom doing that unbelievable

"Huang Yimei...let"s break up!" That made worthy this epysode, to watch. It started to be already a whole bunch of clichés imported from thr Western culture of showing love, boring, boring and ...did I say boring? Yup, I had to skip valiently away from all those l9ve sweety scenes that are everywhere, deluting the core of the whole serial into the boredom of the so called love. No matter the culture, love is romantic. What a bunch of vomitive clichés as thougj, unless romantic, love is not really love, and only written in the romantic way, poetry is not poetry of love. I skipped great lengths of the last two episodes, this and the previous one, as it lack that exact authentic DNA from the cultural perspective, in this case, from the Chinese one. The perversity of all theelse shows, is that whether you watch Chinese of French, or Brasilian movies, everyone depicts the same routine, the boring routine of love. I have enjoyed the chat with her father, telling her "if the joys outnumber the bitterness of your life, then you have lived a good life" althouh one gets "to live a few decades". That was Chinese cultural wisdome. That is what I have enjoyed. Then the scene of the lover in the bed, another clichés, a copycat taken from "love story" the immortal American movie, was just an invitation to more boring visual love routines. But in bed, taking the pace of the snoring of those in the room "2/4, 3/4" and made her feel the waltz down to the "let's break!" few words, that made the whole scene worthy and also my time. I am thinking that what follows next is so easily predictive that I am already looking into some more worthy serials than this one.
