One thing that truly saved my laptop is a good sleeve. I opted for a Burga one and definitely wasn't disappointed by my choice
I got a macbook air m1 on Christmas as well! Have been loving it so far
I got a M1 MacBook about two days ago and I love it.
You can use the laptop while it's charging and even leave it on charge once it's full - they're meant for that and MacBook's use the chargers as power supply for extra juice when the laptop is fully charged.

your MacBook is so aesthetic. I have the same one but in gold colour for almost 3 years now and I never customize it, but seeing how you make it aesthetic made me want to custom my MacBook Air now 😂

You can just drag and drop the dock icons you want to remove on the desktop and they will be removed (not moved to desktop).
This is the M1 macbook air 13 right ? I was thinking to get the silver one but after watching your unboxing I think I'll get the space gray. 💖
Purchased mine in October of last year (2023) on sale at Best buy for $700. I'm not a power user, so this fits nicely in my world.
I have this MBA m1 since 2021 and it’s honestly an amazing laptop. However my workload has gotten so much more since then so it can no longer handle the way I need it to. I’m upgrading to the MBP m2 with 32gb ram. My advice to anyone getting the laptop is try to get as much ram memory as you can afford.
I’m getting mine soon (June/July) also a late birthday gift (my birthday was on the 30 of December of last year lol)
been dreaming to have my own macbook
use while charging is better than using only the battery. Litium batteries reconizes when its charging and stop getting their cation and anions movements stopped.
I just got the same one 4 daysa ago. It is awesome. By the way, you can leave it plugged in without a problem.

with the macOS Sonoma update, you can place Widgets right on desktop without a dedicated app for it.

I've been a Windows user for more than 10 years and I even owned a Chromebook for a couple years too. My HP that I got in 2018 died on me in 2022 (It lasted from my 7th grade year to the first semester of my junior year) so I got the M1 MacBook Air for Christmas in 2022 and I still love it to this day. It's amazing.
we have the same experience with hp laptop!! even with precise years lol may i ask your opinion about the m1? considering it was released in 2020 and i plan on keeping for a long time

Is 8gb still ok , Planning to buy soon will mostly used for acctg software like xero, qbo and spreadsheets/ excel . I need a laptop that could last me a day with just single charge
in my opinion, 8gb of RAM works fine running moderate amount of workload but doing intensive tasks might consider you upgrading with more RAM to ensure seamless performance

That’s not normal. I have mine now for 3 years and I get at least 5 hours out of it. I’m also a heavy user.

I have taken to service center but there also same issue and they have fully checked the device no hardware fault.

mine too, vibrates a bit if your finger touches and rubs the body while charging (I think it's normal because electricity flows inside)

My understand is that these m1 macbooks are still very capable. unfortunately the 16gb version is still 1000+, but I just bought the 8gb version for 750 on amazon and will see if it can suit my needs. I think it should be great. Apple M1 is super efficient.

@@Aryan-ji2nk Sorry I got it wrong..I thought it is asking how much time it takes for full charge from 0 to 100...about how long it lasts..I tried twice from 100 to 0 battery..it gave around 15hrs (brightness mid or high, connected to bluetooth, keyboard lights on)...it can give more screen time if used with battery saver and keyboard lights off
My 80 percent batt lasts me about 8 hours at work (until 40 percent) if that makes sense lol 😅

No there is no fan for the M1
@@malisunshine23 its so cool because you can study/ use in library or at nights, i bought new laptop for 8000₺ (283$) and when i use websites fan sound causes problem especially at nights...
Apple M1 is known for being very efficient and running cool. Unless you're doing something super intense, it runs pretty cool and makes no noise while performing great. That's what all the reviews say at least. I will be getting mine soon, remind me if you want my review after christmas-ish when I buy it for myself.
