There's so many pickpockets around, that even the pickpockets fear being pickpocketed!
You would think that the pickpockets would be less eager to talk to a man who is going to expose him on the internet. :/

there's these super thin pouches that go under the rim of your pants, keep most money and papers there
We very carefully printed up a bunch of fake 20 bills on the computer. We wrinkled them and made them look very real. The wallet disappeared in the hotel, we think in the elevator. We didn't see what happened when they tried to use the counterfeit money!
The filming of this is too clean to be real, how is it that these guys all came together where the camera can film everything?
I agree. The description of how the crims work is fine, and helpful to people, but I'm not convinced for moment that they've filmed a genuine pickpocket incident.
at-least be careful when you see that guy in Argentina. $4000 a week that's awesome earning.

I suspected they were actors but it still informs people as to how the scams work and that's helpful. Even if they are paid actors

of course he pay them but it still helps people see how a lot of it works maybe not as realistic but for a lot of people it could make a difference.

This is why I put my money in my jeans pockets (which are often times either really deep or actually have zippers on them, not to mention that I wear shirts that are long)
It sucks because it makes you not want to visit beautiful places because of these types of crooks and scams.

Most of them would have just been beaten down at this point as soon as you notice he's lying about it. I certainly wouldn't suggest pickpocketing in some towns...

Carry a thin card holder and cash, and keep it in your front pocket.... Ladies, carry your purse zipper closed with the straps across your body, not over one shoulder, with the bag in front of you..... don’t be an easy target, these idiots will not prey on you...simple.

Possibly. I think its possibly just a case of seen it before, plus, its quite possible that he knows the guys doing the scams. Maybe he knows them in a kind of "Say something you're Dead / Business will go down etc" kind of way, or maybe he is the one who does it fridays?
We simply dont know.

The problem with this show is that you pretend that it's real. Good idea for a show though, but the pretending makes it not add up. Poorly scripted.

How dumb are you? Doesnt matter if the events are scripted. They still happen. You can literally watch hundreds of videos on the internet of it happening. you make it seem as if it's not real at all lol, as if it doesn't happen in real life.

I learned that trick back home in Zaire. We all knew when growing up not to put your wallet on your butt. Put it either by your balls or hide money on your shoes.

This kind of scam is not prevalent in Singapore... The laws there actually punish thieves. Petty theft results in jail time or getting hit with a cane! Seems to work. as Singapore is one of the safest cities in the world.
Even littering is a huge fine. Singapore is one of the most advanced and cleanest cities.

i remmember once i put a hello kitty picture in a wallet on purpose in my butbpocket to get pickpocketed for fun. and a guy took my wallet. and all i heard was a wtf. and i started laughing crying so hard and my gf was just like omg andy your a horrible person

When I was in Argentina I was in cordoba so not many tourists were around, i had my phone out for a minute and a couple came up to me and told me i should put it away because it wasnt safe. I personally havent experienced robbery abroad, but its very real and very scary

This is not pick pocketing, first i think its faked and he paid some strangers to do it but the pickpocketing part is bullshit, these guys are as much a pick pocket as anyone is, a pickpocket is someone who can take something without getting caught, otherwise its just plain theft.
Shimmerstrike1 Even if you think it's staged... it is the way it's done in BA. Another one, you suddenly find yourself with some mustard squirted on your t-shirt or top... guess what... wallet is gone. I lived there for 30 years... this is the way it's done over there.
I don't know if it's staged or not. This is how it's done. Often there is a third guy who takes the wallet from the thief and leaves fast.
