I'm English from Staffordshire, if I say down the hill, it sounds like one word making a "y" sound between the and hill so it rolls of the tongue americans don't, what is this called?

Thank you very much for this effort! just to comment that there is a massive difference in pronunciation and also in mispronunciation between Spanish from Europe and the one from Latin America, as the accents diverge dramatically from one another. I guess in Latin America we straggle more with th and v words, having a different entonation. Please carry on with this amazing job!

By the way there's a particular word which I can never forget DESSERT because I used to mispronounce when I had to ask the customers " Would you like some / dezert/ ?" AH What ? The Sahara perhaps? I like these kinds of lessons. Very informative and educational, but I think it can be even better and More Inspirational if you include Some more advanced students, not only beginners. Good job anyway 🥰📚👩🏫💚
Advanced in what sense? There is no way to know the levels of these students because they all read the same text. You can have a C1 level and still have a lower level of pronunciation 😄

Yes, there is much more to say when criticising students that haven't worked that much on pronunciation, and therefore more informative feedback, but I think the video can be even more inspirational, interesting and surprising if it has a whole range of students with different levels in pronunciation.
@@trajchetomov7719 Honestly, I think it wouldn't make such a useful or interesting video just listening to "perfect" recordings. The video would literally just be me listening and saying "good job". That would be a bit boring to film and to watch, for sure. :)

But that was not my proposal 🤭 I just said that it would be more interesting if more types of students are included, not only thai, Indian... beginners, so the videos will reach and keep more peeps. And not talking about "perfect" people, nobody is, innit? it's obvious that you was training too to put your tongue in a way that will produce those southern sounds. And that's great. Also, please let us listen first to the whole recordings, and than cut the recordings on every second word to give the feedback. I hope you don't take these two critiques personally and that you can implement too the critiques/advice from us, your students. Love you Emma 💚🍀
26:20 Indonesian people speak regional dialects and of course Standard Indonesian, which we learn at school. Therefore, to many of us, Standard Indonesian is our second language. Ina, the Indonesian female speaker of the audio recording, has a Javanese accent. Not all Indonesians speak like this. But, it is right that Standard Indonesian and our regional dialects belong to syllable-timed languages. We stress every word with the same strength and with the same length. We are not accustomed to pronounce sentences of any stress-timed languages, except for Classical Arabic...which has been introduced to many of us since we were very young at school or late every afternoon at mosques or Quran-learning places.
So what was the issue in the video exactly? :)
