The passage was now brightly lit. Across a pit ahead, two spiked poles slid fast back and forth where he must land. As they moved forward, the Prince ran out on the wall towards them, instead of meeting as it seemed certain they must, at his footfall the poles moved off in their path, and he ran on to stone steps on the right and rolled underneath a rotating sword drum. Number of saw blades cut through the stairs and the Prince used his miracle to slow down time and ran through them. Fire brands and rusty chains were suspended from above. On either side of him were small barred windows lit gold. He confirmed his suspicion that this was indeed the prison. He lowered himself into another pit as a spiked log came into his direction and ejected himself to a pounding block that remained extended, clambered onto it and ran across the wall. He ran upstairs only to be barred by ranks of saw blades and spiked poles. He quickly sought refuge into a recess with barred windows and a metallic door which was solidly shut. Once the saw blades went right simultaneously, he ran towards the entrance, ran onto a pressure plate that lifted the door. And here he was, into a large hall of closed doors. Sunlight poured from small barred windows above and oil lamps were suspended from above. The pedestal with an impressive sword with jagged edge was at least here. The Prince casted his broken sword since it did its purpose and grabbed an impressive one with jagged edge. He declared. "Good, good, this should make things easier." At this rate, enemies came from one corner to stop the intruder. The Prince stemmed the tide and quickly put his new sword to the test. He effortlessly diminished them. Once they were banished to dust, the Prince allowed it to recharge his amulet. One of the doors was opened. He made his way through the hall and went through another opened doorway and was cautious as a vertical spiked log moved back and forth. Timing and patience was a requirement to get through it and another that was lifted and lowered continuously. He went through it and a roughly barred wall stopped him. This was the first time for him to test its density. The Scorpion Sword had other capabilities. He stood in its doorway and brandished the sword. With a colossal blow it broke down the wall, and shattered stone to dust. "Finish him! Finish him, at once!" a rough voice roared. He saw himself in a room with wooden pillars, fire brands and stairs leading to a short platform with a capstan. Next to the stairs was a pressure plate. The Prince ran upstairs and started rotating the capstan. The door was raised, revealing a small cage and two big, bulky, ardous professional killers in brown hoods with yellow eyes. One of them brandished his sword in readiness. "Soften him up for me!" The Prince must be wary in regards to dealing with them. The column. He spun around the column and carved his sword around it, cutting his enemies. He tried and tried until he decided to go for another method. He ran up the wall, backflipped off and landed while cutting one of his foes upward. Some of their colours gave a palish yellow, obviously showing that they were beaten to the point of death. "You should be honoured to die by my sword." the Prince challenged. One of the weakened ones was pinned to the ground. The executioner conceded. "Victory..." The Prince stabbed him without mercy. Again he relied on the column to diminish them. In one of the opened cells, the Prince entered and smashed a chest. He ran into the same cell where his new foes appeared and pulled the cage. Exhaustion from fighting, avoiding traps and pulling the cage was certain. He brought it onto the pressure plate. He panted for breath and ran through the opened doorway and jumped to the ladder and descended. He was preparing to meet the same foes he fought just now. The two red hood guards were under guidance of the executioner. "Assist me!" one urged. "I grow tired of this." the Prince panted. The wall allowed the Prince to make use of it to vanquish his foes. He observed a pair of sword blades cycling from the wall, preventing access to the barred gate beyond. Timing his moment exactly, the Prince waited for the blades to nearly touch him as they swept forward, and in the split second they retracted to start their cycle again, he ran forward and abruptly stopped as he noticed a rotating sword drum. He rolled and stopped before two rotating sword drums and saw blades grinding across the stairs. He quickly slowed down time and went through them. He seemed otherwise unharmed and gathered every ounce of strength and smashed through the roughly barred wall. Here was another grouping of cells. There were iron maiden, a floor switch and a spiked pit at one side. This was no doubt the punishment block. As the Prince rotated the capstan, the doors raised, bringing reinforcements to stop him. While not knowing what to do, the Prince accidently rolled on the floor switch, triggering spikes that skewered the enemies. "You aren't worth my time." the Prince sighed. He flung the red hooded guard into the spiked pit. "Fall back! Send for reinforcements!" he yelled. After gaining the tranquility he deserved, he was able to jar his concentration and entered the first cell which was empty. He left for the second one. A wall switch was out of reach for ordinary men. The Prince ran upwards onto the switch and used the Eye of the Storm. He ran as quickly as he could through the door. He was now in the next room where more executioners waited. They ran to him. One of them warned. "Attack him, first!" "You should have never come to our island." another warned. A short column in the middle gave him the edge to fight the sturdy foes. He quickly picked up an axe and made sure one by one was singled out as they usually come in packs. His amulet inhaled all the sands to be almost fully charged. The Prince investigated in both cells and came across the same chest. It was still hard for him to figure its purpose, but he broke it nonetheless. He ran through the doorway and a capstan was available. He rotated it hundred and eighty degrees, causing the first door to be shut and the one before him open. Much to his relief was a basin. He was allowed to clear his head in the water and energy to be replenished.

@@desfefeOn the contrary: the storybook aesthetic and likeable protagonist of _Sands of Time_ has aged better than the dark aesthetic and toerag protagonist of _Warrior Within_ .
@@RagitsuNo. The environmental or musical aesthetics of the games is not a factor that is in the aging category, since it is a section that gives an individual identity to the game, it is not a section shared with other products raised by demand as it is. it would be the gameplay, the graphics or the narrative. If we focus merely on which game has aged better, based on the 3 things already said, it is WW. Sands Of Time suffers from having an unoriginal and simple story, despite being well told. Its gameplay is exquisite but it doesn't come close to the heels of its sequel. Two Thrones has the same drawback as SOT, because it tries to be that game and WW at the same time, which goes wrong, since it neither has the magical grace that characterizes SOT, nor does it have that complex aggressiveness that characterizes WW ( Apart from the fact that 50% of WW's gameplay was discarded in T2T). It is a puree of both games, and poorly executed, leaving WW as the game that has aged the best, with a narrative and premise never before seen in any other entertainment medium at that time, added to a gameplay that makes 90% look ridiculous of the current AAA
