Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, holder of the record for most touchdown passes in a single game (7TD vs raiders, 2013). Certified Philly legend. I wear my Foles jersey regularly.
Nick Foles went from backup to legend in the greatest playoff run ever... From taking down the Falcons, and obliterating the Vikings, to outdueling Brady himself...this was a Disney movie in real life. And the Philly Special? Insane!
As an Eagles fan that Minnesota game was scary cuz they were just coming off the “Minneapolis Miracle” the week before. The momentum/storybook mindset definitely felt like it was leaning their way going into that game.
What a video. As an Eagles fan, watching this was truly like reliving it all over again, actually reacting to the plays on screen 😂. That was literally one of the greatest weeks of my life and this showed me I don’t think I’m emotionally prepared for Sunday
3:20 The year he played 13 games was NOT a down year for Foles or the Eagles at all (2013). He threw for 28 TDs and 2 INTs. The eagles went 10-6 that year with Foles going 8-2 in that run. Foles had the lead against the Saints in the Playoffs when he last left the field as well. 2013 was not a down year by any metric.
@@IsaacPunts Yeah, Foles was the backup in 2012 as a rookie. He didn't play a single regular-season snap until Vick went down with an injury (concussion) in Week 10, then he finished that game and started six games before being injured (broken hand) in Week 16 and replaced by Vick for the last game of the season. In 6.75 games he threw for 1699 yards (252 Y/G), 6 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions (again, as a rookie). Vick, in 9.25 games, threw for 2362 yards (255 Y/G), 12 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Both had 1 rushing TD. That was just a bad Eagles team (ranked 29th for both offense and defense).
This "ugh the Eagles" team is nothing like the valiant underdogs playing beyond their normal potential back then. None of us were cheering the meteor back then.

Something that really stood out to me about Wentz is that he basically sacrificed his body for the team. He played on that torn ACL for multiple plays and got us a rushing touchdown to secure the game before Foles stepped in. He was such an incredible QB that had so much potential, but he got hit and injured so badly I think it just broke his ability to play. It's honestly a shame because I think if he hadn't torn that ACL and hadn't been getting hit constantly, he could have gone on to be an absolutely elite QB. But you could tell the moment he took the field after that Super Bowl win that he just wasn't the same guy that stepped off it with a torn ACL.
Those segments were brilliant, especially recognizing that when they lost the next year, they could still be consoled about winning at half-time - - um, I mean that Super-Bowl.

Insane video Isaac. Your ability to piece together these clips, your insight and ball knowledge to create an entertaining product is unmatched. Great watch!
As a birds fan, the fact that the Patriots will forever be down one Lombardi trophy because of a team from Philly forced to play their backup QB will never not be fucking satisfying. We may have only won a single SB, but the weight of that win is absolutely gigantic. Philly is the city of Rocky, the city of the Underdog, and, in Super Bowl 52, the underdogs took on gods and emerged victorious.
I bought into Nick from his 1st day as an Eagle. Got his Jersey right off the bat. Told everyone watch this dudes release you got 2.5 seconds to get rid of that ball if you are lucky, he is 9'7" and has a cannon and touch, if he puts this all together look out! I was very mad they let him go. I also used to tell everyone who would listen Andy Reed is going to be one of the Greatest coaches of all-time. Obnoxiously I would say to the silly people who thought they understood the game better than Andy Reed. To see all that pan out is very satisfying.
When Carson went down, I never doubted. I'd seen the Giants win without Phil Simms back in the day, and I'd already seen Foles throw 7 TDs in one game, and seen him win @GB in person, and since the Patriots cheated before their last SB win over the Eagles, seemed like SB52 was our year, never doubted. Go Birds.
I'm still astounded how few people understand any facet of this game. This is times a billion when it comes to play-calling. In '20 the Chiefs blew out the Bucs in the regular season, then Todd Bowles got revenge & kept Mahomes to only 9 points in the S-B. He changed his entire defense for this. Play-calling won that super-bowl. Learning from this, Andy Reid finally decided His Way wasn't foolproof & Mahomes benefited from what poor Donovan McNabb never got the chance to, play-calling that was geared towards winning, not merely to Reid's personal preferences. Reid schemed 3 TDs in the last 2 S-Bs. 2 of those were game-winners. Without those, Mahomes doesn't get mentioned in goat discussions since he'd be 1-3 without Reid designing those plays. That's how important play-calling is. & it's never discussed. It took me two plays to be 100% certain the Jags weren't using in '23 what worked so well in '22. (My only theory is that Pederson was trying to get fired, but I'll be damned if I have a clue as to why). Justin Herbert has been forced to endure play-calling So Terrible it's reduced him to near-pedestrian numbers. Like with Nick Foles, their fortunes are more directly tied to play-calling than roster talent. Those are _White_ QBs. Even though his own coaches admitted they called nothing but RPOs, Lamar Jackson is still blamed for the playoff loss to the Chiefs because he's somehow *expected to* carry his team & do all the play-calling by the same fans who whined that Josh Allen couldn't be expected to play hero-ball ever & be good. _And_ the play-calling for passing plays is still horrendous. If people would watch the video analyses of it they'd realize there is no real MVP discussion. Lamar did what he did with a severe handicap. Justin Fields still has it worse than anyone. He outright called out his coaches publicly *& those idiots **_proved him right by_** changing their plays, then changing back.* The Bears averaged 31 ppg under one set of plays, under 20 with the old ones they voluntarily returned to. With the Steelers everyone thought that Arthur Smith was 'helping' Fields by refusing to allow him to throw past 15 yards or over the middle against the Falcons week 1. "He avoided the Falcons' élite Safeties (plural somehow even though they only have one such, Bates). Then week 4 they lose against the injured Dallas secondary because again, Smith refuses to allow him to throw anywhere. Then the Steelers say they had to bench Fields *_because_* he wasn't throwing to all the open receivers. He gets blamed for things he isn't allowed to influence or change & it's always his play-callers' decisions making the inept decisions. I hope either the Raiders or Colts, both who have decent receivers & a potential need for a QB see what he can do despite all the negative memes because if this is what he does with one or fewer #1 WRs & his own play-callers sabotaging him, one can only imagine what he'd do on teams that want their offense to score.
Yeah same here, I was the only one in my family that had faith in Nick Foles. I was a fan since the season where he was a backup for Vick, and the O Line wasn't doing well. The amount of hits he took that year, and the way he just bounced back up made me respect him.
I think you put 2 different seasons together. The bad games were from his rookie year with Andy Reid, which is why Andy is the coach in one of the clips, then he played most of the next season after Vick got hurt in Chip Kelly's first year where he threw like 18 tds and 2 ints in Kelly's new Spread offense with LeSean Mccoy leading the league in rushing and he led them to the playoffs where they lost in the wildcard on a game winning fg against the Saints.
As a Pats fan (who actually has a ton of Philly friends), that SB loss was tough. That said, I think the most impressive run was The 2007 Giants (painful as it is for me to admit that). Great video. Not sure how this play off run broke football but it was fun to relive it….even though I hate the Eagles and Patriots…..I also hate the Cowboys if you ever feel like making a video about how they broke football. Obviously I hate the Chrefs too but I don’t want to watch any more content involving them than I already have to.
Tough for the Patriots to lose back-to-back Super Bowls. Luckily for them, third time was the charm as they would win the next one (although I turned off that game too, this time out of boredom).
I'm not saying Foles was better than portrayed in this video, but it sucks watching a majority of 'his' INTs chosen for the video being deflections off WRs and caught by the defense. Wish there was some sort of asterisk/stat to track this. I wonder how illuminating it would be for certain QBs. Same way we track dropped passes. The Foles INT in the Super Bowl is mentioned, and then the video catches up, and it's Alshon popping the ball up 10 feet into the air with hangtime. Clearly this "INT" no longer involves anything Foles did.
I know the game was great, but how can it be a PLAYOFF RUN that breaks football if both teams in it are the teams that were theoretically expected? (I know Wentz was hurt, but looking back, there’s a strong case to be made that he’s a system qb). The playoff run is about the improbability of teams making it there (at least to me), so a crazier playoff run to me would have been the rams and bengals in 2021-22.
Bro said the year Nick Foles played 13 games was a “down year.” Homie, Foles saved that season, threw 27 TDs to 2 INTs and led them to the playoffs. You’re talking about his rookie season. Not even gonna watch the video beyond that point. Do your research, scrub
Good god what an absolute botch on the Nick Foles background. Only saw consistent playing time one season?? Then you listed his 2012 rookie year?? He had 27 TD and 2 INT in 2013 where he was named the starter, went to the Pro Bowl, led the Eagles to the playoffs, threw 7 TDs in a game and put up the fifth highest single season passer rating ever. He was the starter going into the 2014 season and started 6-2 before breaking his collarbone

6:55 "They were only here because god himself refused to let Drew Brees see a second Superbowl" sent me haha
Some people forget how much the Pats and Brady were hated back in the day. I still hope they don't get a winning season again in my lifetime!
That intro made me miss Chonchent Chop
Bro really said eagles chiefs was boring as if there wasnt 73 points scored...
Bro this song takes me back to idubbztv 😂
Tough for the Patriots to lose back-to-back Super Bowls. Luckily for them, third time was the charm as they would win the next one (although I turned off that game too, this time out of boredom).
fire intro bro please keep this
How many times did he talk about comebacks with the falcons😂😂😂
The idubz music 😂🔥 damn now I’m sad idubz is a now a little girl 😭
He obtained empathy for others and no longer appeals to a 16 year old audience
I love my eagles. My favorite player from the 2017 run was 100% green goblin
4:58 a wild Steve Spagnuolo appearance.
RIP Content Cop
2024 will be to 2022 as 2017 was to 2004. Go Birds
“Crazy Super Bowl” involving both 1 seeds 😭😭
do the seeds matter? the score was insane dude and Brady had like 500+ passing
If Mahomes was injured week 13, the Chiefs would be underdogs.
And the guy that got injured for the eagles is Mahomes’ backup now. Not an apples to apples comparison.
The 2017 Eagles are what the 2019 Raptors would have been if they re-signed Kawhi.
Help? The first eagles chiefs Superbowl wasn't groan inducing at all? It was literally peak?
The game wasn’t I’m talking about the vibes going into the game, arguably all of these games have been pretty exciting in a bubble but going into those games people haven’t been excited about
@@IsaacPunts really? I thought ppl were excited
It was the Kelce bowl, the Superbowl with the youngest combined age between quarterbacks
I thought ppl were, but I dont really have an unbiased way of viewing that bc I'm an eagles fan
Anyways great video dude
6:39 yup Falcons fans are looking for you
5:48 You really gotta do my Falcons like that man?
The 07 giants beat the best team in history, this doesn’t compare
nick foles be like when he plays good 🥱
The pin-striped guys playing for the Chiefs have other plans.
Not mentioning the Myles Jack pick?? Shame shame shame
Made me think of idubbz and leafy
This Superbowl sucks: *Dynasty Team vs Eagles*
This Superbowl is one of the greatest ever: *Dynasty Team vs Eagles*
Eagles vs Chiefs and Refs
KC vs SF going into overtime was the least exciting?
Look, I understand the Chiefs fatigue, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm just going to start unsubscribing from all the channels that have decided to take this route, which is a damn shame, because this channel has had some excellent content.
So you just trolling the Falcons winning their first Super Bowl after being ahead 28-3 in the third quarter 😂
Made me thinks of idubbz and leafy
make a vid on the luka trade
Is this content cop? Lol
Brady retires
Rest of nfl... we are free!!
Mahomes more like under new management
Boring super bowls. Well that’s a take.
idubbbbz?
Allen didn't make the 4th and 1
Agreed
Eyes wide shut.
Are you blind
I remember the underdog masks
As a birds fan, the fact that the Patriots will forever be down one Lombardi trophy because of a team from Philly forced to play their backup QB will never not be fucking satisfying. We may have only won a single SB, but the weight of that win is absolutely gigantic. Philly is the city of Rocky, the city of the Underdog, and, in Super Bowl 52, the underdogs took on gods and emerged victorious.
