Hi there from germany. I was there for 1 month…in holiday inn. Walked down every day to wudaokou station. The only European :) ..what a strange feeling that was.
I arrived in Beijing in September, and as you say the track was closed in November. I recall the closing of the road for train to cross. Then, a few months later it was closed off.
I LIVED on Wudakou for one year, I am from Ukraine. Used to buy eggs on the.market near the subway station , also there was or is a night club Propaganda

五道口是指从北京北站出发的老京张铁路的第五个道口， 而其前后各有“四道口”、“双清路道口”。 并没有修建立体道口，所有列车通过时需要围栏挡住过往车辆行人通行，随着该地区交通量不断增大，经常造成交通堵塞。在2016年11月1日，清华园车站关闭，五道口铁路开始拆除。
