I think seelkadoom has that same power drain problem like shadow.
Slight Spoiler: Seelkadoom actually survives that; However, .. I betcha one hesitation less, that would of done it.

First 4 where good but the graphics plus ep 4 with the way sonic spoke then 5 through 9 came out and hid those where amazing
Alright Let me get this straight, Sonic's second battle he was fighting two monsters that they're info was Unknown and then meanwhile in the middle of the battle againist Druaga, Sonic didn't had enough MP to heal himself and That's why you made Sonic transform?
Yes, that's the Strategy, Go Super Sonic and Deal with the 2 Unknown Monsters Quickly, then when you're fighting Druaga, Attack and Use Healer Until you have no More MP And you're Low on HP to go Super Sonic and Finish The Monster.
That's a possible strategy, but doesn't necessarily have to end like that. He healed too early on the first go, he could have survived another hit but feared Druaga was going to do a flame attack, which came one turn later. @@averagemariorpgfan4131
Not healing too early is key. I've won a few battles where I started base Sonic, heal once and then to straight to Super Sonic before just before I need a second heal. Super Sonic ran out of steam, then I finished him off on my base form after that.

Now Ep. 5-8 everything is Sprite animation (I said five to eight beacause nine and ten's cutscenes are not Sprite animation)
Technically there is a game version of Ep-9 which uses sprites(only in gameplay not cutscenes). But it looks like Eps-10 will have both hand drawn and Sprite animated cutscenes.
