Couldn't agree more about a thermal printer. I got a Beeprt, was a lot cheaper than the mainstream brands but it does the job.

I’ve used Evri multiple times, as I sell on Vinted. Never had an issue with them, great vid btw 👍
Try DPD they do pick up from the front door Jay. Your parcel room looks like my stock cupboard which I spent 3 days tidying away and then realized I did not put half the stock online. Now being put online.

Hi Jay! Love your videos and have been inspired to do a little reselling myself on the side, I wanted to ask for some advice on the best place to purchase packaging as I see you're moving away from the eBay branded packages (understandably) - parcel bags, boxes, shoe boxes etc? Thanks in advance!
I would have included a 10-15 second video of the musical box just to show it does work. Its so much easier to upload video to ebay now.
Label printer was the best thing we ever bought. Saves so much time, ink and paper!
Yeah it would seem allot of people hold back on it but it’s the best thing to buy for sure.

use white vinegar on battery compartment rust it neutralises it and just scrub with a toothbruch your never know it was there in most cases

No way first time I’ve ever known something you don’t. White wine vinegar always fixes battery leakage, best applied with que tips. If it sizzles it’s working
Dont forget to clean off Vinegar afterwards, after all it is an acid and will bring its own corrosion in time
As soon as I hit 45 years old & my mortgage was paid..I thought feck it! Time to enjoy more of life..Gave up the rat race of working full time. After fees I'm Selling / making anywhere between 2.5 - 3.5 k on Ebay a month.. Only "working" every 2 or 3 days for around 1 maybe 3 hours if I have to, hunting stock on ebay & photographing what comes in from ebay...Made my Target money this past 3 days so I'm now doing nothing the next 4 or 5 to enjoy the weather...Currently living a life most of my family & mates can only dream of when they turn pension age..& that is - doing as little as possible & cutting cloth accordingly.

Wow I’d love to start getting into this… I’ve not long had my first kid and things are tough so I could do this on the side of work but if I could get like £600/£700 a week I would drop to part time at my job or even quit it and have more family time

I assuming that with £8k monthly, you have reached the VAT threshold and paying VAT on both eBay & you-tube profits?
Making 8k a month reselling from car boots its a massive stretch. Love your videos mate and to those looking into reselling - Keep it part time!
Not worth giving up your day job but as a supplementary income its great.

@@imLimitless TH-cam revenue isn't reseller revenue though is it. The math doesn't math when you watch pick up videos either.
Then you need to take into account the fees, tax, supplies and cost of goods.
I'm saying that a handful of people might make 8k a month (very rare and you would be putting in a lot more than a few hours a day)
There's nothing wrong with a full time job, especially if you can manage reselling on the side as well. You get all the additional perks like workplace pensions and other schemes as well as that passive side income from reselling.

Just bought the tape, thanks for the tip. I was literally about to by 18 rolls of something similar off amazon for the same price. Twice as much for the same is a deal.

in future, those Guitar hero controllers can be tested on PC using clone hero, you'll need an adapter for them to connect wirelessly or usb ones you can plug in right away to test, well worth it since they can collect a pretty penny, also in the neck there will be pins and connector pads, if they are black you want to clean them as it can cause a poor connection and buttons not to register. if you knew all this already, that's great if not, i hope this info helps for future controller purchases.

Ive the same printer it changed my life lol
Another great packing material is shredded paper. We fill up the thin carrier bags and use them as padding, works a treat. And before you ask bubble wrap isn’t recyclable just like plastic bags. We are also best friends with our local Morrisons who supply us with the tall empty flower boxes ( we sell golf bags, trollies etc) and they do the trick. For smaller boxes we use the empty boxes from our local newsagents. All helps save on packing costs. Hope this might help someone.

I look at the amount of good stock you have i have around a quarter or less haha Hopefully i can build a good backlog in summer months . Tobacciana and Beweriana sales very collectible makes me laugh when ive watched some reselling channels theyll go disgusting smoking which it is , but would happily buy an old ashtray and sale it for profit . @@dreamsreselling7215 I have ocd too but it only kicks in if something is 99% perfect the small imperfections do my head in, which is why I keep my stuff just messy enough that the ocd doesn’t kick in

I charge shipping on all items regardless if there price. If people need an item they pay shipping

Is your scale somehow linked up to the computer so that it automatically inputs the weight and sets the correct postage? So it’s literally boom, put the packed item on the scale, the weight and postage comes up on screen and you hit print?

Great progress from a year ago! How many items do you list per day on average please?
70plus a week is my average. That is slightly higher than my sale amount per week so listed amount stays stable mostly. I just gradually up the quality and price point of those 70 over time to grow
If you use royal mail rolls of thermal labels are free.
Yeah true I just don’t use Royal Mail anymore so don’t want to use up free labels other users can have

You have sold me on the idea of a label printer, which brand and model printer do you use?
Zebra gk420d 6x4 printer , it’s usb plug and play 👍🏻 there are cheaper entry level ones out there but they won’t last your better of investing in a second hand zebra one eBay it’s a tank and will last a lifetime

How do your evri prices compare to royal mail?
Oh I think evri is similar or cheaper for 1kg if your buying tracking with rm , I think Royal Mail probably slightly cheaper as parcels get heavier maybe but it’s been so long I can’t remember

Managed to get a gx420d label printer I’ve managed to get it printing the right size after 20 attempts what a nightmare to find the settings on eBay
All done now anyway sold 3 things tonight and used the label printer a lot better than sellotape and cutting paper
Sounds wholesaler for jiffy bags very cheap ok it does not say eBay on them but more likely not to get nicked

No set amount. I reinvest as much as I can back into the business. I could easily take a large lump out for myself each month but I don’t I only take what I need for bills etc and the rest goes back in to help with faster growth. Either with new stock or other investments 👍🏻

@@liamthomas1499 no no I make sure I stay under the limit for now 👍🏻 once I’ve moved into a proper unit the business will shift to a Ltd company vat reg etc so I can blast past the threshold. Although the vat cap is only locked untill 2025 so it might go up after

It’s a very common question , I don’t see it as hate but I’ve just never wanted or had desire to drive. It would definitely make my life easier but it’s all good 👍🏻

I don't drive either but something i wish i did when i left school but just never really did . It can be challenging at times when you see a bulk deal and you think i could do with a car now lol . I make sure i load up much as i can when my brother drives me to car boots . Im quite lucky i have alot of charity shops as around my way too in walking distance .
Think about costs tho too prices going up all time Tax MOT cost of repairs on your car when something goes wrong so there's that to consider as well . I don't know why people think its strange that some people don't drive .
