    Nice little rig, best part is that the 9 / 16 Mexican adjustable wrench is almost all you need lol. Greetings from South Texas retired farmer.

    That's the best info on cultivating I have seen. I have a Super H so all my equipment is 3poimt but this shows how it is supposed to look like. Great camera work

      Jtwes I wish you would make a how to video of setting up the fertilizer unit for a 140. Really I’d like a video of set up start to finish of 140 setup for gardening.

      Sir Belvedere Did you see the fertilizer set up one I made. It might help a little

      Jtwes I did thank you. I think I have to have the bent fast hitch long bar. I have the straight bar. If I said that right. Lol

    Hard to believe someone has dry ground to work with, very wet where we live

    Those are called Lillistons I think. I have a 8 ft. Mower made by them. What row spacing do have with that outfit?

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      44 inch rows on the tractor

      Both Lilliston and KMC made frames with these rolling spider assemblies. We had Lilliston.
      Matter of fact, I took the 4 rolling cultivator assemblies off the 2 row today. It’s been sitting up for at least 40 years. Got some rebuilding to do.

    When you are using a crescent wrench you need to use it different than the way you use it. What you are doing is putting pressure on the end of the jows . Pressure needs to be back on jaws as not to wear the wrench out so quick .

      I will keep that in mind thank you for watching.

    That tractor seat could use some Goose Tape.

    What determines whether you use that style sweep behind the tire or say a normal 10 or 12”?

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just a personal choice. I don’t like getting to large because if your rows get a little tight the wing of the sweep can hit the plants in the other row. I would rather use shovel feet but you can’t buy them anymore.

      Jtwes well I recently restored my great grandfathers 140 and am really finding your videos helpful, I’m glad someone has finally made some videos on how to setup these for planting and cultivating. I have several books but they don’t help much at all, I didn’t grow up farming and my grandfather is long since past on so your videos are a huge help!

      Be sure you watch my mistake video on the rolling cultivators. I would be glad to help you with what ever I can.

      I found the corn sweep a little smaller than the ones Joey uses at Farmer Bobs. Good price and fast shipping. Pleased with the largest size he has.

    You need a better microphone to improve the audio.

    Too bad the wind destroyed everything you were trying to tell us about pressure adjusting.

    Shut that tractor off before you start to get off . You never know when or how it will get knocked into gear .
