It’s very difficult to spend only $100 for a full shopping trip at Costco, cheaper to shop at a grocery store and only buy what you need in bulk at at costco.
It means you don't know how to budget & shop. I've been shopping since 7yrs old with my maternal grandfather, mom & dad. My sister & i were shopping alone at 9 & 5 yrs old, we walked to the store & home with bags, my parents knew the prices & gave us enough plus $2 in case prices went up, i was encouraged to look for cheaper prices of the same product. I lucked out at times there were not much generics in my childhood days.
Large families benefit from Costco Benji has a family of 7 he included.

The bill depends on if youre buying NEEDS or wants. You don't need expensive Cherries, drinks, eggs, Organic etc. Smart shopping goals...will affect total no matter where you shop

In theory, I concur. However, I NEED cherries (for gout), and they are always expensive. If I was healthy enough for a "u-pick" farm visit, I could maybe do better.
@@Dogmama00 EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE be it Needs or Wants. Once in while it's ok to get some wants, people work hard, if they treat themselves every so often & can afford it, i say it is ok. I bet you got stuff you buy that are wants not needs like Dawn Dishwashing soap that costs more than Palmolive.

Our chicken at home don't eat carrots but their yolks are orange.

The part with the credit card point is exactly what I tell my husband and kids. The cards that reaps the best outcome is the one to use. My plane tickets are free. Car rentals free. Make the card work for you. Also never allow yourself to pay interest only use card if you have the money to cover the full payment.
Lol that was fun A2 milk is the best kind of milk for you! My 100 will buy more cause i don't buy cherries or organic expensive things! If your buying it per same amount yeh it's a good deal but if u buy less its cheaper. I shop at 5 dofferemt stores to get the best deals for certain things! Don't sleep on your discountt stores i get fruit and veggies for mad cheap!
I usually cut my juices with seltzer, yummy, and so refreshing.
Since I'm shopping only for myself and pets in the household, I don't buy as wide a range of products as you do for your large family. I can see how shopping for a big family would offer savings on many things. But I do think it's a good deal for me for things like paper products, cleaning supplies, some frozen foods, batteries, snack foods. I also think their prepared dinner foods are a good deal for what you get.

Costco is great for a big family like yours. I only use it for the gas since I drive a lot, it's worth it.

Have your girls tried the Just Bare chicken nuggets? They are delicious!
I found that buying loose onions is way cheaper than the 3 pack in the supermarket (I’m in UK obs from my St George cross) but in our supermarkets pre packed onions (3of) is like over £1 and they aren’t that big but, I can buy 4 large loose ones for 92ish pence, so now I check pre packed fruit and vegetables against loose. Also, I always bought a brand name smiley face mashed potato things that you fry (in my case, air fry) for my granddaughter but one time recently they were sold out so I resorted to buying the shop brand stars which are way cheaper only to find that this is what her mum buys and what she prefers 🤷🏻♀️ win win 😂. Oh, plus, the price marked up is what we pay, our vat is included we don’t have to add tax on at the end of the shop. ❤
In the Caribbean we have price smart, which is like Costco and 100 USD would get me a lot here in Trinidad and Tobago. 100usd is equilivant to a little over 700ttd

$100 at Sam’s club is definitely stretched farther. Costco has very specific things I like. But Sam’s club has better savings

I live in Canada and our grocery prices are even higher here 😳 ( especially dairy items & meats ). I shop at multiple stores to get the best prices I can these days….it’s crazy 😬
This is a video I would have liked to do years ago when my kids were still at home. It is usually cheaper to buy larger quantities. I still buy larger quantities of meat and separate them. I buy very little processed food too. You could make chicken nuggets at home without the added STUFF. Did you read the ingredients on the chicken nuggets? But you are doing a great job getting the best food you can. We have been buying fresh eggs from the Amish in our area....$2.00 a dozen.

I’m not too mad about your buys, in my household 40% of the Costco trip would last my family 2 weeks. Since inflation my shopping trip has gone from spending 160 for 6 days worth of groceries, compared to 100 just covering 2- 2 1/2 days. 😭

I’m curious if Safeway vs Haggen would be the same for same items with cost. Since they are both own by Albertsons Companies.
Haggens is more expensive than Safeway is more expensive than Fred Meyer

get the liquid stuff, because the powder stuff will mess up your pipes... it dries up and causes build up

Interesting. There's no Costco in my small town. They are located in suburban and more affluent neighborhoods.
I feel like because you guys are a bigger family costco is economical for you guys, like 40 juice boxes for 11.99 just cant be beaten and you guys will definitely consume all the food. However, I think smaller households and individuals do not gain as much with costco shopping. I live alone and am a smaller woman so when I buy bulk (dry or frozen) it takes me a couple months to finish anything. I think people are just shopping too much nowadays and the pandemic made people develop a hoarding attitude.
You should buy two of the milk. You are always out.

I also don't buy the dishwasher tabs. They're terrible for the water supply. They don't dissolve.. those chemicals are just.. in the waste water. Gross. I just buy the bottles of detergent. I use less hooray!

Most farmers / local small farms are organic bit they can't afford to pay to be certified organic !! You are sp obsessed with just the label of organic that your supporting massive companies instead of local !
