CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Hunter (Chuck Norris) traps the Russians, and they try to flee.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This red-baiting action film stars Chuck Norris as Matt Hunter, a retired CIA agent who lives in the Florida Everglades. A communist invasion of Miami brings Hunter out of retirement to fight the encroaching hordes led by everyone's favorite low-budget bad guy, Richard Lynch. The film is extremely jingoistic, presenting the evil communists staging an invasion on Christmas, demolishing a church, and attempting to blow up a school bus full of children. From the same school of thinking which produced Rambo and Red Dawn, this film at least features some convincing gore by makeup wizard Tom Savini (Friday the 13th), working on his third gig for director Joseph Zito. Zito and Savini returned with Red Scorpion.

Never make movies like this anymore. Is it realistic? No. Is it awesome to see just a row of American tanks and Marines just waiting to gun down the bad guys? Hell yes.

@@dinoflagella4185 Utterly useless: LAWs are meant to be used against trucks, APCs and IFVs. They couldn't so much as dent those M60 Pattons. They could've taken out the M113 APCs, but the tanks? No-sell.
Don't forget they were also outnumbered and surrounded

They STILL use blanks today. Emerging film makers don't have blanks in budget so cgi muzzle flashes are most ideal. Heck if we HAD cgi muzzle flashes in 1985 I can't even begin to tell you the big budget directors that would have used that option.
@@discojelly I just think the cgi flashes look terrible with the actors mimicking recoil. Could you imagine Heat or Saving Private Ryan without blanks? I know it’s a hell of a lot cheaper and safer to use cgi, but I think it takes away the intensity of a gun battle. I just love the over powered blanks with the ridiculous muzzle flashes and brass ejected everywhere!

In the real world it would be over in half a minute with that level of firepower. But this is an 80s action movie so logic and proportion do not exist here.
They couldn't buy a couple of Rpgs, where they bought the weaponry.:)

These guys were zeroed in a killbox of dozens of tanks, hundreds of infantrymen with automatic weapons/heavy explosives pointed at them close range, and air support by helicopters armed with heavy weapons. Honestly I’m surprised they lasted as long as they did, even with the bad aim trope on part of the U.S. Military, all that firepower would be enough to reduce the environment to rubble.

David Willard I think the Predator darted forward, then off to the side, and jumped up (because he was up in tree later trying to heal himself), and those guys kept on shooting straight in front of them. Awesome scene though! 😃

in the german version, Mikhail Rostovs name was changed to Michael Hames, most likely due to political correctness, but the credits still say Rostov oO
Thankfully the caption is left intact now when it airs on TV along with all the violence too. Gotta love how standards have changed when it comes to showing R rated action films on TV these days. Hell, I was watching Olympus Has Fallen the other day on SyFy and it was uncut with all swearing intact too including F bombs. Caught me off guard at first but I was like "Hell yeah!"

Trying to find the name of a movie I saw as a kid. It's about a group of catburglars who get hired to enter this underground temple to retrieve this hidden relic. But they cannot touch the floor because its full of death traps. So, they have to climb along the ceiling all the way to the end of this maze. There's a hot girl in the group who is a trapeze artist who does this trick where she slams these bars into the ceiling with her feet as she does this acrobatic move. If anyone knows this movie please tel me the title. This was 60s or 70's I think.

Hundreds of soldiers open fire on a group of bad guys standing in the open that they are aiming at...2 guys are hit before everyone can take cover. I remember that not making sense when I saw this as a teenager.
