Sir not in this question, but in practical problem of icai 10 grow more ltd. There is dividend payable of 10000 in previous year and no dividend payable in current year !! It will cash outflow in financing activity but should i add it while calculating NPBT ?? Pls explain i m very confuse
In that question only opening balance of dividend payable is given We assume it as dividend PAID in CY because it was declared in PY So we just deduct it in financing activity We do not add back to retained earning to calculate NPBT.

We add back only Final Dividend declared in CY
And Interim Dividend Paid ( because it’s declared and paid in CY)
