I AGREE!! I had no idea what Fentanyl was until I read on Google about opiods being laced with that POISON!! Thousands have died and are DYING!!
Hopefully, here in Texas, Governor Gregg Abott has signed into Law about arresting and convicting these drug dealers, specifically, if the person dies!! 👏

I firmly believe that if most addicts were able to see the type of person they would become due to their addictions, they would never even try any drug in the first place. It really does turn you into two different people, and the real self that is so kind and loving is gradually beong strangled out of the body every single day the addiction is satiated. Please do not be hard on yourselves for being mad at your loved ones over this; they're mad at their addicted selves as well. Much love and many prayers sent everyone's way 🙏 ❤️

I lived in South Philadelphia, and I saw the effects of drugs; that made me NEVER touch drugs! It was not appealing to the eye to see someone under the influence. I'm in my mid 50's and don't even like using prescription drugs. Had several surgeries and refused to fill the prescription for the opioid pain medication. I reached for OTC advil. I wasn't taking chances on becoming addicted.

Truly sad. Listen to what his friend says at the end. It's truly important, even if it might seem obvious and cliché. The once every 6 months turns into a once a month, then it's every week-end and it's still "enjoyable". But ultimately, you'll have stuff left over, so the week will finish on Monday. Before you know it, Tuesday...etc and it's everyday. The trap is that most people will only realise there's an issue the first time they don't have any money to score. When feeling like death (a bad cold my a$$ it's like death, especially knowing that you could feel better in 2 seconds makes it 100 times worse), Deep down everyone knows at that point they have a problem....Problem being, it's usually too late as by then you're already addicted (and will do anything to deny this new reality including using more)
Listen to your real friends, your non-using friends, don't go the "one last time and I'll stop" route. Never works... Next thing you know (if your lucky), 10 years have gone by, you've lost everything, alienated yourself from loved ones and family, making it even harder to get the motivation to finally stop it for good. There's no such thing as using once in a while like before, as your brain is now rewired and you relapse in a day, using more than before.
Seriously, when you hear "don't even try it once" there's a reason. Most people deep inside after their 1st time know they will use again if they get the opportunity. Rip Ruben. All the best for his Brother, mother, friends, stay strong, never forget how he was before addiction kicked in.

12:06 🎯 young man, the "people, places and things" mantra when someone is trying to stay in recovery is very important to put into practice, people that are able to do that have a better chance at long term recovery. I pray that the young man's family and friends find peace and God please help all the ones struggling 🙏🏻😇

Smoking weed is not ‘normal teenage stuff.’ Please stop normalizing altering your mental state, as it can cause paranoia, memory loss, and other issues. After watching these fentanyl death videos, it’s clear that weed is often the gateway drug to bigger highs and addiction.

You can hear the anger disappointment and sadness from his family members. And it’s sad man because when addiction takes hold of you it’s a hard habit to break and with him being so young he hadn’t even got the chance to live and his poor baby girl 😢😢😢

Heartbreaking. I am so very sorry. My 24 year old son is a recovering addict of opioids, it's horrifying. My daughters are 14 and 10, my husband and I have been educating them about this and they also saw what their brother went through. Sending you and your family love and light. Big hugs to you from a stranger who cares in Little Rock, Arkansas. 💔💜🙏🫂🕯🕊

It really angers me that the so called friends can just leave their friend there to die. All they're thinking about is self preservation. Idk how people can lose all humanity. Parents should also be talking to their kids about how to handle those type of situations and not just about not doing drugs. I've heard so many stories where the "friends " just let them die right in front of them. I believe there should ve laws in place to make people have to call 911 immediately.
    It's sad and frustrating

Perfect example of why kids shouldn't dabble into weed, cocaine and the likes. So so sorry to his family and friends. Pls don't feel bad for being mad at him, your emotions, which are varied, are very valid. Stealing things from his loved ones shows how deep he sank and it was so fast too. He was really young. I really wish he kicked it for his daughter. Pls kids out there, dont do drugs pls. There's really nothing in it but a life of regrets. RIP to Ruben. May God comfort his family 🙏🏾

I would be scared to be an addict today. You can’t get any “real” drugs anymore unless it’s a legit prescription. Everything today is pressed & every time you take something from the street you’re playing Russian roulette

One of the boys said smoking weed is a normal teenager activity. That is totally incorrect. I was a teenager when 'pot' became well-known in the USA and the Vietnam War began - the 1960s. I graduated high school in 1968. I worked one job during the week/another job on the weekends throughout high school and the same throughout college, all while living at home. Bought my own cars and paid my own tuition. Respect for myself and others were paramount. I haven't ever considered smoking pot, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc. Why start doing something you know could be addictive and therefore dangerous? Plus I NEVER wanted to disappoint my parents! I am now 73 and I admit I have consumed 2 glasses of wine this year. I remember my actions. Life is not hazy. Pot aka weed impacts brains that are not fully formed. It is often a gateway drug. Once the body builds a tolerance it requires more to reach that elusive high. That is usually when the downward spiral begins. Also some people have addictive personalities. Many aren't aware of that issue until they start doing drugs. Many people are addicted to carbonated beverages (aka soft drinks), and watching television. Definitely not as detrimental as drugs but still addictive.
