DAMN ME! I totally forgot that those natural harmonics are played differently last time on the first chorus. Check out the tabs. One other thing, Trevor seems to play the main clean guitar riff slightly different on their live version. This is how it goes on the studio version.
Rabin is am amazing guitarist. His guitar work on this track is just brilliant and I think the simple chord he plays on the chorus is just killer, absolutely perfect for the track. Great job on the cover.
WOW 😀😀 I never realized that Trevor layered that many guitar parts on this masterpiece. As always that Suhr sounds sooo good and you NAILED it (as usual). 🤘🤘
I don't even play guitar, but Trevor Rabin is my all-time favorite musician. If you haven't heard it yet, his newest solo album from last year, "Rio", is absolutely brilliant!

you're really one of the best. because through you, seing your fingers we realize what makes a good pop song...a special way to play Am B C D G .....rthe sound the chors combination TOP from Paris
When this came out, it was a game changer, the power chords are legendary. You got the chime going on 🤟, that part isn't overlooked it's just people can't play it , really good job man ⚡
I saw alan white at a drum clinic in my hometown. Check out the beginning, I think its track two of relayer, It would work as a guitar part. Maybe work it into another original.
Hey Juha! Thank you for making this video. Could I ask you a question, please? So I'm a beginner with absolutely no experience and my hands are about 19 centimetres in length. I primarily would like to play pop, a bit of indie rock, and 80s (I guess that's: disco, funk, and just like this song). I dislike ACDC and will never play Metal (the non-clean goes as far as this song or cutting crews - died in your heart), but I primarily would like to play songs like you do. Would you recommend me a Squier Affinity Telecaster or Stratocaster (HSS/SSS) for this?
@@JuhaAitakangas thank you very much! That means that I will sell the telecaster I just bought. Also I think the strat is more comfortable to hold. My tele does have a belly cutout but not an arm cutout. I have 3 more questions. Do you think I need to get an SSS or SSH strat? And do you perhaps recommend a more modern sounding strat or a more conservative strat? Do you recommend any cheap strat, e.g. Ibanez, Yamaha Pacifica, squier affinity? Thanks a lot! You are a real inspiration for me!
@@wesleydevries7415 in the end these are all a matter of taste...but i really like strat with humbucker on the bridge. Little more versatile that way...gives you that extra punch if you need litte heavier touch. If you like that traditional strat sound then i recommend more traditional Fender stratocaster type of guitar.
Hey man I was also wondering how you got that sound. I have responded to you before, don't mean to meddle but where are you from and where do you reside. Your are awsome
Killer work. I want to point out that in the opening chords, bar and strum the low E string also, except the D chord. Best exemplified here by GuitarLessons365Song: th-cam.com/video/wJ4-rN7y-k0/w-d-xo.html You however illustrate many more nuances that he misses.
365 lessons is great. In the original recording, the intro was played with two guitars. One with basic power chords and the other so that the low E string is included...on every chord. At the 2017 Rock & Roll hall of fame Induction ceremony Robin is playing all the chords with low E-string included. But...In Live At the Apollo he is playing with standard power chords...😃👍
