Good to have you back. Have you tried a Cacophonator? Its a classic six oscillator hex schmitt oscillator box, they're configured to modulate each other, but one if its main features is the starve feature, this is connected to a very big capacitor. When you turn it off it slowly dies. Its not so much a drone synth, more if a broken techno percussive device, a nice textural variation for noise performance.
