    27:26 - He never gets there if you're wondering....
    the rest of the sentence is "for each attacking creature they control" so it only effects the attacker.

    Or play auras and the boardwipe that don't destroy enchanted creatures... it was on the Comander Legends Wyleth's precon deck.
    Blue has a lot of "attacking/opponent's creatures reduces -x their power" which is a fog adjacent effect. Sometimes better if you block some of them.

    Adding fog type cards are fantastic for casual use as a cheap (in mana and pricing) solution to combat. But if you want the most effective Fogs in your deck, make sure they have a secondary function. There are plenty of Fog related cards with additional uses, although they may cost more it's usually one to two mana more which isn't an issue if you're planning to Fog anyways. Cards like Lull and Angel's song so you can cycle it if it isn't needed (and the cycling ability costs the same as the spell too). If you're a life gain deck then Riot Control, or Respite are good. Or you need protection as well, Fogs like Blinding Fog or Dawn's charm. Or retaliation Fogs such as Arachnogenesis, Comeuppance, and especially Inkshield. There are plenty of choices that I'd say are better then standard Fog to use that are more beneficial to your decks.

    There are some cool new fogs. I play one in my Windgrace decks that let’s you search for lands equal to the amount of damage; something like that

    I try to teach casual players this by playing combos either before they can fully assemble their 'boards' or right after they do a board wipe or even on top of it at instant speed. Yes is not a 'nice' thing to do but the message should be pretty clear: if your only interaction is board wipes then statistically you won't have enough answers to instants and sorceries which can close games more efficiently.

    Right now, my favorite fog spell is Winds of Qal Sisma. It is one-sided if you control a creature of 4 power or greater, which is rather easy to do in Commander. It saved my board when using my Bello deck.

    Fog in EDH is peak. Scratches my control and hippie itches as well as providing various different paths to winning off of a basic framework (fog to avoid damage)

    Most casual commander players see Settle The Wreckage and Aetherspouts and tell me they are too weak.
    And yet everytime I play them the person who it is cast against basically loses immediately.

    I play a fog-control commander deck that wins through mill (mostly). It's fun bc ppl never expect what the hell I'm doing in general, but I still pull off many wins with that silly deck

    Yeah batwing can be fun and probably good but one big caveat.....is EACH players looses life... so you better have more then your opponents or at least take out someone with it cause your life total is going down too.

    the problem with fogs is creatures on the battlefield are not only useful for dealing you combat damage; fogs nullify this aspect; creatures also gain value by just sitting on the battlefield by tapping for mana, drawing cards and others stuff; fogs don't do anything against this aspect

      I allow it because they're wasting interaction and not me! Then again, it is a bit rude to pipe up and suddenly flash in a board wipe for little good reason, especially when you're not at risk. (it's because they're jealous they're not the threat at the table)

    • @deadNdivine12
      @deadNdivine12 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LiteDrift haha anyone who gets jealous for not being the threat is just silly. I think it's, because most players don't really know the rules like that.
