From the post-match interview, you'd think Ben lost. Dude just won his first IG match, giving him wins in three divisions, is undefeated, and instead of getting to answer a question about his awesomeness, he has to answer a question about "Scores and Soundtracks" a category he had to fight through and had to go to multiple plenty of times and had lost a steal to Jim on. I just think he should have gotten a chance to enjoy his first win in IG before having to analyze his faults and then look to the next match. But hey, that's why Jenn is the GOAT interviewer.
this is the strongestcrop of competitors the division has ever had. Smets/KO/Chandru (not in the tournament but deserves to be mentioned)/Parker/Damon/Goddard and that is just the established guys not taking into account guys like Barbarian who has been a force every time he's played, Oyama who is a former singles champion thus should never be counted out even in a different division and hell you have a double belted champion waiting in the wings to join the fray once he feels like it

This match reminds of the difference between the 'old guard' and 'new guard' of players, or players who takes the game super serious and really studies like a maniac and strategizes vs the players who just know a lot. Which makes players like Rocha and Murrell amazing players able to evolve and be successful in the New Era.
Hmm while I understand why, it would be awesome for the audience to see the workings between manager and competitor, it really highlights who the best and worst managers are and makes the choice for manager of the year easier!

Looking at the brackets, my initial reaction was that this match doesn't really matter. After watching it, now I realize how much it really did matter.

I would have challenged the harry potter question about who drop the orb. Harry tossed it in the air Lucius tried to catch it but couldn't. He never even held the orb so harry was the correct answer.

I think by the virtue of having played 5 matches, and the next closest competitor would be two matches (I think, I don't think anyone else has had three matches or more yet this year), I think it would be him without question.
The favoritism for Goddard is annoying as all hell. Yes he’s a good player. But nobody else has gotten 4 matches in this weird season. 5 including the exhibition. It’s just silly. Of course he’s the current favorite for rookie of the year. None of the big rookies have played enough to have a chance. Drives me nuts.

IMO at this point in the IG league you just cant survive without studying because of the scary level of competition on it.

Agreed. If you have a weakness in IG, you will not be a contender at this point. It's the thing holding back some otherwise really strong competitors.
