I am an apprentice of a shaman in a line of shamans who were trained by the Q'ero (my teacher is 3rd generation), but the teachings have been sometimes generalized to incorporate other shamanic traditions from around the world when it did not essentially change the original teachings. The Despacho is composed of various offerings such as local berries and nuts, beads, ribbons, seeds, and other symbolic additions, and leaves of special plants.
Those making the Despacho blow prayers into the leaves as they place them in the bundle. A prayer is said for oneself, the community, and the world, each into it's own leaf. The bundle is cleansed with spirit water and tied up. Despacho means 'giving away', and is a sacrifice made in conjunction with a request. Despacho Ceremonies may be conducted to ask for healthy animals or abundant food, or perhaps to be spared a natural disaster or drought.
The heavy energy is absorbed from the bodies of those in the video into the Despacho, and is not only taken from the solar plexus energy center (3rd chakra), but also from others. In the video you can see the Despacho also being placed over the heart energy centers of participants. This energy may be released into water, earth, fire, or air, but care must be taken to ensure that it is safely disposed of.
In the andes there are many ways how people do ceremonies, many things were transformed and specially in the last two decades. Westerns are influencing the local practices and because this people are still surviving, "hucha" is a common understanding of the sins. With all the ceremonies of this tribe as you said, nothing happens to their lives, they continue in misery and the new generations do not want to know any thing than to be in the cities and have a road to travel to their lands.
Once the Despacho has been used to cleanse the luminous bodies of those participating, it is burned sacrificially. I do not believe the tree's energy is being brought to the participants, but I am not certain this is the case. Typically, positive energy enters the root chakra from mother earth and the crown chakra from (God, Great Spirit, Source, Creator, Universe etc.).
So, they're taking the spiritual energy from the participants, carrying it to the tree, sending that spiritual energy into the tree, replacing it with the tree's spiritual energy, and bringing the tree's energy to the participants, putting it into them, is this right? I totally understand the energy-transfer idea. Thanks for posting this. I'm studying a lot right now about the old ways of the Incas, Pachacuti, the shamen and their prophecies, and so on. I am Naitve heritage withsimilar rophecies
